Any more recent information on Love's/Gemini? I heard they do credit checks. Does that have much weight as to whether they hire you or not? Supposedly insurance is $64 a week. I hate paying for insurance, but that seems ok.

I'm a fuel hauler for Gemini and love it. Yes they are VERY picky on who they hire and do an extensive pre-employment background investigation which includes criminal and credit. Insurance for me and my family is about 80 a week but that is with extra life insurance and the best of their dental and medical. I have enjoyed driving for Gemini and the company it top notch. My runs keep me making $260 a day and I work five days a week. I get to sleep in my own bed next to my wife every night and am with my family on my days off. That's important to me. Please feel free to ask me questions if you have them.BigJon310 Thanks this.

Where can you find, which loves store are hiring.
-
The best thing to do is to go onto loves.com and then click on Gemini and fill out an application. Gemini and Loves are the same corporation but are separate companies. The stores themselves don't have fuel trucks even though some of the trucks are left at the stores during days off and all. Its ran in terms of "areas" where a team of drivers cover three stores or more. My team has two tankers and there are four of us. Two that run days and two that run nights.1laidbacktrucker Thanks this.

Is $260 a day standard or are they paid by the load?
-
Pay is based on the load. Two hundred to three hundred a day is typical and can be expected. The other three drivers on my team and myself usually make 260 a day servicing four different stores. I'm sure it can fluctuate depending on the area you are working in.Redwolf Thanks this.

Jynxx,
Your post indicates you are a fairly new driver. Gemini hires recent CDL grads? Thanks.
Happy trails. -
Usually Gemini requires two years experience which as you noticed was not my case. My regional manager had to go up the ladder quite a way to get approval to hire me. I only had about a month of driving experience before coming to Gemini. I actually have Sage, my driving school, to thank for the lead on the position. So in my case yes I was very green when coming on to Gemini.BigJon310 Thanks this.

Does anybody have any info on a job at Gemini (Loves) as a Bio Driver? Are you out and back the same night? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm glad Jynxx is doing well in Wyoming. Drove for them for 2 years in Ft. Worth. If I could make the money he does I would still be there. 14 hour days, 5 days a week and make around 900 to 1200. With all the refineries around the Dallas Fort Worth area we end up chasing allocation (means driving from one side of town to the other for cheaper fuel) not a big deal but you get paid by the load! They brought in a new terminal manager who has no clue so I left for bigger and better things. Overall a steady job if you can deal with the same ######## every other company has. Good luck everyone.....
Jynxx Thanks this.
