I work for cti in kingman and its not that bad of a place to work for the down side is pay 26 cents a mile depending on your exp. if you go west of kingman you get 6 cents amile more, if you go east you loose 6 cents a mile
we go around 600-700 miles to first stop and then sart working our way back. we do have drop and hook in glenrio tx at the new mexico texas state line on I-40. we run a lot of oakland ca. area home time is 10 hours or 34 hour restart depending on how much you run I get home weekly but not much quality time no hollidays off you do have to fight with them to get them off. they do charge you for any damages a small scratch or dent will cost you 1000 bucks unless you do the following befor you even touch the truck take pictures of all damages of the tracter then do the same with the trailer befor hooking i use my palmcorder with memory card
(then fill out the mac 2 on the qualcomm this is a MUST) if you fail to do this you take responsibility for all damages. it helps for the road controll workers to see you do this they tend to leave you alone after awhile. my first day i hooked to a trailer and moved it 200 feet from it parking space to the inspection bay and was told i would be charged for the new damage on the trailer that was missed during last inspection it never happend because i filled out the mac 2 pryor to going to inspection bay.
now your on the road heading to lets say oakland and you are ready for a 10 hour break. you send a message that you are going on a ten and you settle in about 2-3 hours goes by and beep the qualcomm alerts you have a message and its some stupid question they allready have the answer to. and then it beeps again and agian through your hole break keeping you awake. the planners dont have a clue EVER they make appointments that are not with in hours of service when you tell them you can't make it they argue with you. the dispatchers know there is no truck parking in places like oakland,la, and they know its 10 1/2 hour drive and you have to take a break and will be forced to drive when you are not supposed to be. and they do it all the time so you have to take controll and say no to runs like that make sure enough time to take your ten befor giong in so you have hours left to drive after unloading to get out and to a parking area.
equipment is very good dependable newer kw. some automatics i have had only one breakdown and that was the refer not the truck.
miles are fair it depends on you if want to run hard you can.
i am ok with this company for the most part I am treated fairly most of the time I just heard today tha we will be going to e-loggs very soon and all of the crap the dispatchers try to pull will stop when it time for a break you will have no choice the trucks will be programed to shutdown and not start until 10 hour timer runs down. not sure i like that but it is what it is. would i recomend this company yes to those who have a few years driving under there belt.

I tried to get some info in CTI a couple weeks ago and didn’t get much.

    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...ation-regarding-central-trucking-inc-aka.html

I went ahead and filled out the online application. I was sent the regular paper application by mail. The cover letter and information included with the application was so far from professional and so poorly worded/written that it sort-of turned me off. Don’t get me wrong… I was not an English major and at times have trouble making complete sentences. However, I have the sense to let someone proof read my outgoing correspondence before I send it. Posting this has probably doomed my chances of ever working for CTI but I don’t think that is such a bad thing. The lighted sign off I44 in Springfield, MO says they are currently hiring team and solo drivers. The Springfield facility looks to be very nice and well kept. As an earlier poster mentioned, the equipment looks really nice.

    Good luck to you.
