1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

    Hey---everybody
i have a friend who is looking for a job
he has about 5 years driving--and about 25 years as a mechanic on trucks and trailers
has class one a--willing to get hazmat--has fast card but no twic
most of his driving expirience has been either dry or heated vans, some reefer and some flats as well--but i think he would rather stick with dry van
    clean record--no tickets or dui
he is able to work in both the US and canada--canadian citizen ,with green card
benifits arnt a huge issue--401 and disability would be nice tho
his last job--generally he would go out for 5 or 6 weeks then home for a week
i believe he would rather drive for a small company or an o/o
and buying a truck wouoldnt be out of the picture as well
soooooo if you have any idea's or openings--shoot a pm and i can get in touch with him

    thanx

In talking to some of the smaller outfits in this area, van freight really sucks right now. That's just in our area, not nationwide. If he's willing to go flat, and would consider lease/purchase, call Hafer Trucking in Cochranton, PA. A good friend of mine is buying a truck off of Hafer, and is extremely happy with the deal he got, and the way he gets run. Been a lease operator for about a year now, and has never seen a negative paycheck. Runs predominantly between Meadville and Texas, home most weekends. Let me know if you need the phone number.

Where does the driver live? I represent 15 different companies that are in need of drivers. One in particular, mostly N.E regional with weekends at home, must live below the I-84. Hazmat would be needed but not at dat of hire.

I don't know if your friend is still looking, but KTC (Klapec's) in Oil City, PA is advertising for Van Drivers. Saw it on their sign yesterday.
