is it just me or does the load board really suck this week?
-
It deff sucks..... I can't find anything long haul at all. Everything paying worth a crap is all heading east to PA and I hate that area.
That being said, you also have to remember that Monday is a holiday, and a lot of shippers are closing early and most won't be open on Monday. I know Frito Lay is closing tomorrow afternoon and not going back on line till Tuesday is what I was told today.
That being said, I got a run from my home town on Tuesday for $3.75 and then a reload in Chicago going to Columbus for $2.25... so next week is looking better.Travelinman Thanks this. -
I'm going to be empty just west of houston around noon and I have no load. There was nothing an I keep waiting and hoping everyday something shows up. there is a couple 30mi d/h loads friday for $200+ each I want to pick up but I can't find anything untill then. I had a nice dallas to OKC then Jenks to New Caney but the new caney loaded tomarrow but didn't unload untill tuesday. that would have left me with only about $1000 gross for the week, not enough

My "preloaded trailer" that was supposed to be ready at 4pm was 4 hours late which left me almost out of hours. I planned to be in houston tonight, instead i'm barely out of Dallas

Sorry that you are having problems buddy. The main issue you have is the area you are running. I just got my 1st pay statement back with SNI and I ran 2,100 miles and avg'd $2.01 a mile up here. I know TX isn't going to be able to do that. MAybe you should start looking for a steady route? Look for loads that ship every week, and go to the same areas. I know there used to be some loads to NY/NJ from TX that paid very well (I know, nobody wants to go to there, but that's why they pay descent) and I have noticed there are some good loads out of Cali going to TX, so try to find a load going that way maybe????
Like I said to the guy who asked about our gig, it all has to do with where you live as to where you make your $$$ -
I am hoping to be able to get in to see them. We have a farmer here that has 6 D12's that have this tune and he went from running 6.2 in his fleet pulling seed to 7.3. I can pay for that tune in no time with those numbers. -
Their website says send them the ECM.... But if they can tune it with the truck there, it may be a better idea to just take a run into Davenport, Moline, or the surrounding area. -
I read you talked to Grace about a load coming out of MI to TX. I ran that load as a company driver a few times. It's been a while though. It's an American Axle load north of Detroit running to Laredo and back. It consists of pretty heavy 35k to 40k MI to TX and then 10k - 15k of empty racks TX to MI. I hope your luck is picking up. Holiday time with SNI sucks. Pretty much all of them. Inbetween is good though..
