I just understand while the truck isn't running there's nothing anyone can do. Besides, I'm under contract.

Yes, its about hours behind the wheel. You need minimum 145. But you also need to know everything else to upgrade. Not just learn how to drive. Get off your phone. Your trainer has paperwork that you can look over. He has your final test you can study. There are other trucks and trailers you can go to and go over pretrips. Yeah, it sucks sitting. But use your down time wisely. You don't know how hard you will run when the truck us ready. You may not have ample time to learn anything but driving.

That comes out to about 48 and a half hours a week. I should be able to get that if they feed us loads and we don't spend too much time on the docks.

As for the rest of your comments, I've been looking at that stuff and I understand how to fill it out. There are no trucks I can inspect at the motel, but I'm not worried about how to do a pre- trip. This isn't the first time I've driven a truck. I've just been out of it a few years, so I have to start over.

Still stuck in Laredo. We're now at the dealer having more work done on the truck to fix the trans. Also, it looks like the techs at pam yard broke the hood of the truck because as soon as it was lifted, it fell off the truck! I haven't been complaining so far, just updates about what's going on. But,the techs should know their job better.

Update; just learned the truck may be in the shop until next week by this time I sould have 50 hours behind the wheel. I have about 3. Maybe I need to request another trainer?

As far as the hood goes mine broke in Tontitown, not the techs fault. The one on my truck is showing signs of breaking again, it's the hinge that goes bad.
Concerning another trainer you should of had one when it looked like it was going past 2 days.
Ask Noggin what I did with him after he broke my differential and how long it took me to get him a new trainer

Angry Birds, ftw! Pre-trip isn't very difficult. Just a lot of little stuff to remember. Do you do an in-cab and brake check, too?

I didn't break your differential. And you didn't put me on another truck, Dennis did. :p and there are no other trainers, that's why it's taking so long to get one

Dealer says truck should be done today. If so, I can still get enough hours to up grade within my four weeks, assuning they keep us rolling. I need to average about eight and a half hours driving a day to be done by the 12th and upgrade on time.
