I am on pins and needles. I got my TWIC card went in and talked to the boss in Nashville. I decided it was something I wanted to do. I flashed him my Port Everglades ID from 1984 that had the company name of Aviation Fuels from Ft.Myers on it.
I went home and filled out an online application. I got a call that they wanted me to come on board a week later. I did my DOT physical and passed. I did my "Work Well" test yesterday. I am waiting for the results. If I pass I may be doing paper work today, and rolling with a trainer.
I will have to work every weekend, and be on the night shift. They pay $60 a night for shift differential pay. That is $15,600 a year by itself!
5 day work week. I called a few minutes ago and they didn't have my test results. It can take up to 48hrs. My DM at Swift is wondering WTF is going on!123456 Thanks this. -

watch yourself, if youre new to hauling gas, newbies will make mistakes, and eagle will put in your record incidents as accidents. when you leave it will hinder you from getting on another gas job and they will hurt you in the area in other tanker jobs. i know at least 9 drivers who left and 3 or 4 years later eagle still hurt them.. i talked with the hr person at eagle and told her she is keeping drivers from getting good jobs at she became short with me and said she could care less. in this business you will mess up everyone does .... just beware of eagles policies.. also i have 2 black friends who currently work there now , when a management job came open these two who are highly quilified were never even looked at so they discriminate also by the way im white.....

OUCH! That doesn't sound good!

I hauled gas/diesel in Sacramento....the most critical part is working the "racks" and then make sure you double/double check everything you do. the easiest mistake to make is "mixing" product. with 3 different blends of gasoline...make sure the product labels match when you connect fill lines to tanks. Never flow product until you verify and are 100% sure of the blend going in the tank.
Everything is color coded, and blend marked....so verify, and re-verify!
Take your time and pay attention to detail!
