CSA doesn't change my job. My job is to inspect trucks. On my end nothing has changed, I do the same thing I have done for years. What has changed is the way the inspections are looked at by the feds. How to rate carriers for intervention.
If you are going to post something that can maybe get you fired don't put: Your picture on your profile. Your truck number. A picture of your tuck. Any hints that could lead them to you such as a continuous exhaust leak. Hood held on with pink duct tape The dead trainer duct tapped to the top bunk while you drive back to the yard. Or the coat hanger holding the engine on the motor mounts. How you threatened a dispatcher using the same words. While sitting next to a company tattle tale typing to beat the clock. That pretty much covers the important things not to do to get canned by a company that pays someone to read all the posts in trucker web sites so they can be a cheerleader or put spin on a post or just can someone because they might have told the truth! It IS a dog eat dog world out there!
Sorry driver. I wasn't aiming that at you. I was thinking about the news story I heard this morning where some employers are asking prospective employees to provide their FB credentials.
Ronin.........Change your handle here OR start several new ones and use those to bash the crummy company you work for. Next time you get called on something by your company.........simply deny it. Most would come to believe that you are not the only driver at that company that has an axe to grind. Blame it on a "phantom employee". Once you get a call from your company in regards to any accusations(get a written copy if you can, because most likely they will put it into your personal file),place a call to your local labour board and start a case file in the event the company tries to fire you. Then you have something tangible to begin a wrongfull dismissal suit and if you decide to simply quit then you can use the information you have collected to offer to the next company to help protect your DAC. Remember......a DAC only matters if the guy reading it believes it, what you offer as a rebutle to its contents will be of greater importance.
Check out my new thread about Western Flyer... gave up trying to work things out with their attorney.
1000's of trucking jobs, just gotta do a little looking. Like thats never happen to anyone, you get over the shock of being fired from a chitty company about 10mins afterwards. For every 1 company that use DAC there are 5 that dont, for every 1 company thay use quilcomm there's 10 more that dont, and are just as good or better than the one who do. Great, so you now know how to roll over and wave the white flag......
