Coming to Sheldon tomorrow to start orientation Thursday. It's going to be good to get back underway.

Sitting here in Bethlehem at the dry Kraft warehouse, running up my idle time. Silly me showed up early for my 1500 (I used to run Kraft dedicated; I should know better), now I get to wait til at least then for them to start loading, instead of chowing down at the Trexler Plaza. Fortunately I grabbed some smoothies in Clinton on the way down from Jersey City. Anthony didn't dick me around this morning like he did Thursday, so it's been a good day.
Thursday morning he gave me door 3. I had to have a guy blocking the door move, got in the door all in one reverse trip miraculously, then proceeded to BS with said guy until his door opened up. I got back in my truck which according to the dock light and suspension pressure was still being unloaded, climbed in the sleeper for about 5-10 minutes, and came back out to a green light and one of the dock guys coming out to wave me on. I parked and go inside to get my paperwork, and Anthony asks, "Where were you? I was knocking on your truck." To which I replied, "I dunno." which ok I just told you all where I was, but I didn't know why I was unable to be located supposedly. He didn't like that answer and told me he doesn't have time for games and I can go to my truck and wait for my bills! That SOB made me wait til 2 hours past the appt. for the paperwork then sent me on a wild goose chase in the cooler docks to get them! Who doesn't have time for games?
Hawk are you talking about the Thurs-Friday storm? All the truck stops except the Loves and all the traffic lights were out in Carlisle. Fun...
Anyone have an opinion on the best way to Jessup from here? 476/95 will be a cluster for sure, but 222/30/83 might not be any better? Not familiar with 222.Last edited: Jun 1, 2011

yeah that storm from Thursday into Friday... The power was out at the Pilot All-American in Duncannon, PA also.... it come back on around 2 a.m. when the #### spot light was beaming in my eye!!! and i hate jersey city with a passion... that guy alone is one of the reasons i dont like going up there and dont get me the going on the girl who works the guard shack... what a mess!!
but yes 476 to 95 straight down shall be your best bet...... smooth sailling!!! -
The black chick? She's cute at least (I think.) in her tight rent-a-cop uniform, Aww yeah. Give her a gun yet and I'll do all my waiting at the guard shack. Lol They got a new guy in there apparently. Not up to par at all with the little headphone boppin' guy. Headphone guy did check me out though, so maybe the girl is no more?
Yeah Kraft dicked around long enough that blue route traffic was no longer a big concern. I breezed right down through. Took me literally over an hour after I got through the guard shack here in Jessup to get receiving to check me in. It was a truckers picnic minus the steaks and booze by then! Load is off and lumpers are paid, but at midnight-thirty I'm still waiting for Giant to "receive" my 2200 appt. load. I guess figure another hour after that to check out? -
Saw a couple of van wyk trucks last week or so just north of pittsburgh on rt 228.Just wondering if it was any of you guys?
Really sharp looking trucks!!!! -
I appreciate the complement and agree! I live in PA and that road is foreign to me. The only customer I know of up that way is some dairy in Amish country?
Larry, didn't mean to blow you off at RDC yesterday. It was good to see you. I left out of Jessup that morning and sat for a while on the DC beltway and wasn't sure how I was doing on time to get to Warners.
As many of you may have noticed, apparently the all knowing NY DOT did not approve of us parking for Warners delivery in the dirt turnout just past the traffic light on the left, and put up a pseudo fence, blocking it. If you continue on, go straight at the flashy light, then go right at the T, there is a large dirt lot surrounding the authorized access only ramp leading to the thruway. I parked there last night on the far side from the road, lights out, and no one bothered me. Your mileage may vary. Note the lot is extremely dark at night and it looks like it could get pretty smeary in the wet. To get to Warners simply go right out of the lot, proceed half a mile, and Warners will be on your RIGHT.
