New like a 2012. The radio control in the sleeper quit working. The steering wheel is off center. The engine acts a little funny once in a while, it just stumbles every now and again. Other than that, it's a good truck. I can't afford to be tied up in a shop right now. Miles have not been good at all. Although I do have to say that yesterday's check was the best one I have had. The next one...not so good. Always seems to be something going on to keep me from getting good miles, like trying to get home or being routed to Joplin to get my new truck. Hoping after I go home that they will improve drastically. I am planning on staying out from the second week of June until the end of July. Hope that helps. I am sure it will. I still have faith in what I was told at orientation and by the recruiters.

Sitting at the J in Baytown, Texas. Gonna roll on into Laredo early afternoon tomorrow and take a 34 reset. Anyone know if Con-way gets any hotel/motel discounts in Laredo? A 34 reset at the Terminal this time of year doesn't particularly seem healthy.

Yeah, I talked with another finisher the other day and he said the same thing. I am sure things will improve once I get done with hometime. I agree with you, a 34 reset at Laredo wouldn't be much fun. I don't know where the hotels are near there though. I know this much, when I was there it was HOT!!!!!!! You won't shut the truck off the entire time you're there.

Well, trucking happens!
We got to the pick up in NC for the NC to Laredo run and they were closed. Not only were they closed at the time either, they were closed until Tuesday! 500 mile dh just to get no load lol.
Thankfully they had us moving again in no time. We got a new load picking up in SC and headed to MO and a preplan for after that picking up in MO and heading up to PA.
I picked the load up in SC this afternoon and drove the first 400 or so miles. We switched out at a Pilot on I24 in TN (exit 64 I think). Now he is driving. He is gonna deliver this one tonight and drive over to the truck stop a few miles from our next pickup. It doesnt pick up til tmro afternoon which is actually good because I will get a reset. He got one while we were in shop so we will be good to roll for a while again. -
Made it on down to the Laredo Terminal. I mis-figured. Won't need a reset just yet. I still have 11 left on my 70 and pick up 10 Tuesday and 10 more Wednesday.
vmaggs Thanks this. -
Take the reset whenever you can get it. More hours available=more miles. I just lost out on a run to Calexico. The gave it to me, but I only had 18 hours available. No way I could make the drop time. BTW I am at the Walmart in Niagara Falls, NY. Moved up here today after I found one of my trailer marker lights had been "borrowed" while at the T/S. Plus now I can go to Canada with plenty of groceries on board, I was getting kinda low.
