Where do I sign up! I remember JB back in the 80's and early 90's. They were laughed at, made fun of, yeah they had a reputation. Those JB Hunt drivers in their brown uniforms laughed all the way to the bank.

Back when I ran out of the Seattle rail yard back in 03-04 i saw lots of JBH intermodel drivers and most said they where not making squat and looked like it to.

JBH was putting ads in my local paper under a different company name to run rail frt and cross dock loads out of Sumner to Wally World DC in Hermistan OR. And when you call what looks like a local company you get some guy with a OZARK drawl so bad you can't understand what the hell he is saying. Then they say Eastgate for orientation and I said for a local gig? Then they come clean and say JBH and we pay .32 per mile on that run. Above average pay my butt.

Another company runs the same stuff out of Sumner whse as JBH and pays 18 per hr to start.

Nope not much fishing going on in the flint river. You can go there to catch rough fish and in some parts the catfishing is good. sometimes a pike or walleye but it's not the best fishing hole in the state.

I've been to the Flint river many many times and have never seen anyone voluntarily dive in for a swim. Swimming is the last thing I think of when I look at it. I have heard of people floating face down in it but never doing the doggy paddle.

Maybe you should become an accountant, or better yet a doctor. Then you can make your own hours.

You know not everyone is cut out for trucking. Maybe you are one of them and just can't realize it. Trucking is a hard life, long hours, no respect. And you can't have everything at any trucking job: i.e. hours, money, time off, benefits, equipment, miles.

Pick the top 3 things from the list above and find that company ans stop moaning about the rest.

You can say what ever you want about JB, but I know better. I was there for 5 years. I screwed up and got fired. (and deserved to be fired) In over 25 years of driving JB was the best job I ever had. I drove legal and still took home a grand a week. That was back in 1995 to 2001 when I was fired. If you can play by the rules and do your job it is one of the best trucking jobs out there.

Wow! A driver that takes responsibility for his own missteps. I thought this breed was extinct. Most of the times a driver gets the axe they fail to own up to the reality it was their own doing. Instead they take retribution by spreading lies and blaming the carrier for their screwups. I applaud your honesty. JB doesn't tolerate stuff. Your warning is given during orientation and if you choose to disregard their policies and safety standards you will be gone. I actually respect that in a carrier and prefer that over a carrier that tolerates the misactions of riff-raff. Not directly calling the previous poster riff-raff but he clearly made a bad choice that resulted in his firing and am glad he learned from it and his willingness to admit to it and move on. Kudos!

sounds more like a campain speach for Obama than a real tucker. If you dont like or say something against the company then your one of the worst driver's on the road and can't do anything right. So if you want to be a good little robort and do as your told and keep your mouth shut not matter what they tell you or do to you good deal work for JB Hunt.
