Load to PA pay between $2.00-$2.50 a mile, loads out of PA are heavy and pay an avg of $1.20. But if you lived near the middle of PA, you could run to and from PA/NY/NJ/VA and make a good living. Say $600 a day on avg
Most loads go to Berwick, Carlisle, and Tobyhanna (sp?)canuck in da truck Thanks this. -
They charge you $50 a week for you escrow account until it gets to $1,000 then they stop that. Plates are $33 a week, and your workmans comp is $145 a month I believe, then BT insurance is $35 a month. No fee's for qualcomm, they give you a EZPass device and they pay all tolls except IN/OH and FL.
If your truck gets descent MPG then it's not a bad gig. Just have to learn how to work the load board and know where to and not to go. -
I've gotten my fuel avg from 5.8 to now avg 7.5mpg and thats pulling 42-44lbs in a reefer. Slowed my butt down to 58mph got the turbo3000 and got decent tires. Switched over to the Michelin xone xda energy.

Thats remarkable! What does the turbo3000 do? I've heard people say they've added it with no results.
What kind of truck do you have? -
I pencil out every tank of fuel so I keep very close track of my fuel mileage and added one thing at a time.. I've found with the turbo 3000 that if I go 65mph it doesn't work properly, but at slower speeds it does what it's supposed to. I have a 2006 Volvo 670 with the Volvo d12 engine.
SHC and Travelinman Thank this. -
Seems to me slowing down would have more affect on mpg than the 3000. I put it on my '06 Cummins in '08 and saw no improvement. I too track mpg on every tank, have since the truck was new.SHC Thanks this.

that thing is the biggest scam on the market. LMFAO...
-
Remember back when we you would joke with someone and tell them they needed to slow down or they were going to run out of exhaust fluid....... now it's real s h i t !!!
-
It may not work on all trucks but it did mine.. I did measure going 58 before and after it's install. If it didn't work I would of taken it off and got A refund. I'm happy with it so I guess that's all that matters. My fuel went up 0.50 mpg with it. Every little bit helps to be profitable! Back on topic though is the choice board pretty consistent and are you guys happy with it? Looking at coming on board.
