IMHO, every student who graduates trucking school should get an industrial sized tub of lube along with their certificate! It would make it alot less painful to be a noobie!.................................![]()

There are a lot of complaints about companies that will accept a new driver without any experience. Well since most companies require experience, I hate to tell you but you really ain't that desirable. Look, it is a training company so learn as much as you can and get a year or two of experience and then move on if you prefer.
.
Your main objectives are to protect your CDL, learn as much as you can, get a good understanding of the realities of this industry and DO NOT HAVE ACCIDENTS.
.
If you learned anything from these forums, do not lease purchase a truck. At least until you have an education about what the in's and out's of the lease deal are all about. If you want to lease purchase a truck, talk to successful lease purchase operators and find out what they did right and, more importantly, what they would have done differently. Learn from their mistakes. Run your lease operation as a business -- your business -- because that is what it is.
.
And for the record, many of the complaints come from people who had an unrealistic idea of what this industry is about. This industry is about moving freight for the purpose of getting paid. You move freight, the company gets revenue and you get a pay check. If you don't move freight the company does not need you. You are a means to an end. Get it? The whiners just don't get it. The company does not exist for the employees benefit. Companies exist to make a profit and stay in business.
No profit equals gone out of business.
.
While others have accidents, turn down loads, sit and complain; I want you to run legally, safely and accident free make the money while gaining experience and become valuable to this or any other employer.
.
Okay, this rant is now over. continue.Gears Thanks this. -
harley, just curious is the lube for the ten hour break? Or is it for dealing with dispatch and loading docks?

Do more research! swift has a huge swinging door why go with the #1 starter company? I'm almost done with my training with my trainer and heading back to the terminal to get my own truck! oh and while with my trainer i have done all the driving he sits in the jump seat, when my hours of driving are up the truck stops. no team driving here. i'm happy i the went with JBS
