    Does a TWIC card and background check that goes with it allow you to cross into Canada without a pasport?

    No, a TWIC card is "supposed" to allow you un-escorted movement on the piers, and some warehouses. frankly hold off getting it till a company you apply to needs for you to have it. also, its virtually the same stinking background check that is done on you if you get your hazmat endorsement, and it'll cost you "up to" $135.00
