fuel hauling vs. belly dump

Well, one particular joy I remember was unloading in gas stations and watching John and Jane Q Public do their best to kill us all. People in general have no concept of how dangerous gasoline is.

 

You could always supply Frac companies with diesel. It's the same amount of hours but most of it is spent sleeping or watching Netflix...all while being on the clock

Seriously, I probably log 10hrs a week driving but work 70+ hrs. The rest of the time is spent on location waiting to refuel Frac pumps after each run time or stage. I generally have 1-2hrs of free time between each pumping. During that time I sleep, peck on my iPad, or watch movies. They don't start you out much but over time is factored in daily. You could work 4-10hrs days and only 32hrs of that would be straight pay. The rest is over time. And being out of town, they generally pay for for and hotels.

My instructor told me about one time him and a friend was unloading gasoline (2-separate tankers) at a store and some idiot walks up and asked, is that gasoline...all while smoking

 

Uhhuh, got my butt in a crack over decking a bigazz govt lawyer. Dummy was starting to light his cigar right beside me. I swung for the lighter (honest I did) but busted him right in the chops.

The cops he called chewed his butt out and refused to file a report. My boss called me Mohammed (Ali) and snickered for a month afterwards.

Inerestingly enough, years later I met that same lawyer. He remembered me (#### betcha) and apologized for being such a butt.

 

That is wild lol

Well, I got some co-worker stories that would leave any fuel hauler speechless for a life time. Just say I can't honestly understand how they haven't blown them selves up yet
