    I hate Chicago!
The sheer number of expressways that merge in Chicago! The low clearances over by the lake. I was told that the fire dept even had to buy special trucks to get around.

    I hate New York City!
Rude ### people! Tight docks...half the time you leave part of your truck sticking out in the street...then the rude ### people ride by and give you the finger!

    Los Angeles!
    Traffic! Did I mention...TRAFFIC!!!?

I don't do ANY northeast, most of the roads were built LONG before tractor-trailers existed, and for my money any of the cities there suck once you leave the interstate.

All that aside, my least favorite place to try to get to is Eureka, CA... from L.A. there is no legal way to get there except going ALL the way to OR, turning around and coming ALL the way back

Some are worse than others I suppose but they're all interesting and some can challenge you....I love a good challenge!

Honestly? The worst place to go is any place I have to go where the directions are sketchy and I'm having trouble pinning down how to get there. Could be Chicago, could be Bismarck, ND. If I know where I'm going (sure of the directions, seen it on the map, even better, been there before) I'm golden.

Sitting in traffic around LA, SF and all up the I95 corridor can be a little heart-rending, though.

Being from the Chi it's not that bad to me. The low viaducts are a pain in the keister however the only loops are the going towards I-55 from the Dan Ryan Expressway. Most truckers normally are on I294 or I80 so the ones passing through the city generally dont have that many issues. New York is way rougher however money is money so no matter where you are get it. Drive safe!

In some ways, I find small towns in the middle of nowhere worse than the cities. Miss a turn in a city, you can usually feel your way through and find your way back to where you need to be. Go to one of these towns in the middle of nowhere (like, say, Kansas), and your turn happens to be the last one in town. Miss that one, and you could end up having to go way the hell out of your way to find a place to get turned around. It's happened to me before.
