The only thing I ever see in the truck stops I occasionally park at is Subway and an occasional Wendy's. For the most part though, I see neither because I am usually parked at a Flying J unless I am simply looking for a place to sleep.

Wendy's would be my favorite because of the multiple options of Salads. I like Subway, but I get annoyed at paying up to $2.00 more for a footlong sandwich just because they are inside a truckstop.

McD's upset's my tummy, so I avoid them especially if I'm out on the road.

I do like Subway. One company I drove for you can pull in the yard and if you tried to sleep they came a woke you for any BS reason. But if you got there in the AM, you sat there till 5PM. Down the road a fuel stop had a Subway so I would bobtail down there and get a subway eat and then drive back to the yard.

I like Subway but here I had to vote for Chesters, I for one have a deep fried food vice and when I go to Chesters I always get me an order of veggies to help counter act the deep fried stuff...at least thats what I tell myself as a reasoning measure. There really is a veggie under all the deep...fried.....crispy.....golden goodness.:biggrin_25521:

I am not one for fast food. Either a homemade salad, sandwich, or something else.

Best 3 Truck Stops i've been at:

    IOWA 80 at Walcott, IA.

The Joplin Petro (where I witnessed the Chrome Shop Mafia pick one up)

the Rochelle, IL Petro (Waitress was friendly and nice-lookin, you know what I mean?) Lots of the Intermodal in that town anymore.

Well, given the options I'd have to go with subway. But I like Sheetz gas stations for burgers. You can get 'em YOUR way, which is plain for me. No one looks at me like I'm from Mars for not wanting any lettuce, tomatoes, onions, eggplants, or any other disgusting plant matter on my beef.

I like Subway. I usually order one to eat and one for the road. Most times I can talk them into wrapping the "to go" sandwich in 3 seperate wrappers. (meat in one, vegetable toppings in another, and the the bread itself) I can then stick it in the fridge and have a nice sandwich 8 hours later that isn't soggy and falling apart.
