I'm stuck here in this devil region

 

I didn't get an exact count, but Sunday morning it looked to be 40 trucks there hooked to trailers. From what I overheard in the drivers lounge, most were empty too.

Atleast you can enjoy the cookout the next few days. I did all weekend long.

 

Yea I've been siting since fri gave me a 2 mile local run and still siting would rather be driving

 

So is There stil a lot of parked trucks? Makes me a wee bit nervous hearing that.

Went to May days today. Asked a couple guys what the story was. I felt some resistance to speak freely. I get it, don't get me wrong. Don't want to scare off the newbies. I also need to know what I'm getting into. I need to know there can be slow times so I can plan my finances.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

 

There will always be "slow times". Just be ready for the
good times, dont refuse loads(even short ones) and play
it cool. Spring and summer are most times busy, but shippers are shopping rates more these days... Hang in there...
If all else fails, bug your DM for more miles.....

By Wednesday I should have my CDL and be an official wannabe. LOL
Looks like I'll be shooting for orientation on June 6th.
