And a bed to sleep in instead of a board across the seats, and a windshield so you don't have to wear goggles, and mirrors and everything. WOW!!!!:biggrin_25523:

Thinkin about becomin a lease operator for KLLM. Is this a decent comp. or what? What is the CSA score and what is the average pay rate,,,how is freight running now? How about home time,, currently I am having to stay out for month at a time and am lucky to get by the house,,, I live in southern Ga. off 95 corridor and I thought that would be easy for some of these companies to get me home!!!

If you are looking for frequent home time, I would recommend KLLM's SouthEast
Regional. Terminal is out of Atlanta, and commonly you will store a vehicle there
and get by the house every couple weekends (if you live close by).

Im still with KLLM, and have been with them for two years now. I love the company,
and am currently running Tyson Dedicated with them for the last year. Don't believe
all the rumors you might hear about them going under and getting worse.

Seriously...I would NOT lease right now. Freight is slow and, historically, gets slower over the winter. Couple that with high fuel prices right now and it just all equals a very bad time to enter a lease/purchase where you will have a truck payment to deal with.

    Just my 2 cents....

Tanker drivers generally make much more money weekly. If you start pulling vans/reefers, the first time to a grocery warehouse, and you'll wish you were back in tankers.

It's unfortunate; that is why they have a continous revolving door turning. Lease purchase is the ultimate rip off and always has been. If you don't want to lease purchase; you'll be pushed out (not given any miles) where they hope and pray that you leave. Big time bottom feeder here, don't fall for it. I could type a novel here people but don't have the time. Drive safe.

The above is COMPLETELY untrue. Been here two years, make on avg $1400/week. AFTER I PAY FOR FUEL AND TRUCK PAYMENT. Sold my FIRST lease truck, and went back in with a second.

No company drivers are being pushed out. Leasing is not a ripoff, some people just can't run their own business. You learn where to fuel to save money. Fuel surcharges help mitigate fuel costs. (not completely but still).

But then what do I know? My 2 year anniversary is on Oct 11th. I guess I'm still a newbie??? Haha.

Glad it;s working for you and I mean that. Many companies start 10 to 15 people every single Monday morning. Why is that? Orientation every week? Where are all these people going? To keep the pipeline full is the reason; people are quiting due to a whole host or reasons. Getting fired for being late or being seen parked at a bowling alley etc. The entire industry has an incredible which is shamefull. Some companies are friendlier with their drivers than others. I found mine, sounds like you found yours too. Horray for us, one more of lifes little problems solved.
