I would rent a vehicle, and try to get reimbursement from his company, but I doubt they have that much integrity. Good Luck.

Yeah, rental car. Now. They aren't going to buy him a plane ticket. They aren't going to pay to ship his stuff home. He should let them know what he's doing, give them a minute or two to make arrangements for someone ELSE to secure their "equipment", then split. He'll be sitting there starving for days otherwise.

And you might want to kiss that last paycheck goodbye, probably not coming at all.

I freakin hate dirty carriers like that. No excuse for "not knowing" about a DOT suspension. That is just BS.

i can assure you the company got more than ONE WARNING letter probably sent by certified mail that they were going to lose thier numbers (get them pulled). to me, being as cynical as i can be, they KNEW what they were doing, and probably wanted to "hide the trucks"...

yeah, rent a car/van, pick up truck from Budget, Hertz, Penske, Enterprise, pack that up, drive home, kiss good-bye any reimbursements for it too. I wouldn't worry about a DAC report, especially if the company folds up......THAT in of itself....?? will spread like wild fire and it would be expected drivers got home any which way they could........just like Arrow.....
