Like I said, what a fiasco, after 3hrs of cleaning up their dock, they find out their forklift doesn't work...Finally got out of there...Sitting at Pilot in Dalton again, doing a repower to Sysco in Atlanta tomorrow morning, will be driving down there in a couple of hours so I don't have to get up at 3:30 in the morning...

thanks Joe...they really dont know what they have let themselves in for!!

well there were two trucks available, one was a newer volvo and one was maybe the oldest freightshaker in the fleet...1661 (gasp)

bearing in mind that i drove the FL in cdl school and then all the last 10 days too, but i decided i would take the volvo for a test drive....hhmmm, im sure people have there own tastes but i really just didnt feel as comfortable than i have been in the FL, so needless to say i took the FL!...time well tell in terms of reliability..:)

looks like i wont be getting out of here today....so we will see what tomorrow brings!

wow you have to be on something to take that relic over the volvo. mine took some getting used to but one reason even for the people who hate the volvos is you will have better luck on the fuel bonus. but then again ive met more than 1 driver who wouldnt take one simply because the are ugly haha.

my truck finally decided to start breaking. hasnt yet but it keeps wanting to overheat. time to go to the shop and sit.

Joe, they have a pretty good incentive to recruit drivers, it really isn't for the money, we get new(from the manufacturer) trucks and I heard that I am getting one this trip into headquarters, the money here is good but if you found something good wouldn't you share it? Well maybe not I know alot of selfish people in this industry, I'm not one of them, nor will I ever be, but being in my position I could give all I have away and gain it all back the same way I got it the first time. Take Care. TD24
