I worked for Staley for awhile and left to go back local. I am getting laid off and would like to come back to Staley. How is the new contract? To me the hours were crazy but I guess coming back I would be in a sleeper cab instead of the hotels being paid for like before. I am just looking for your overall view and how long you have been with them. I need to make a decision soon. I know all the guys with the company were great and treated me well.

well i dont know about when you worked there before but staley does not have sleeper trucks. those guys go out and back the next day and stay in a hotel...the same here at keller in livonia mi..RTI does all there otr stuff and they have the sleepers..maybe you drove for the otr division? anyways as far as the contract goes i heard it was decent..we have a different contract. us in livonia are teamsters local 237..not sure what the local number is in munster..i used to run the shuttle from livonia to munster every night and got a chance to talk to those guys over there often..they all seemed pretty happy..jus fyi...when i used to go into the office to chat with dispatch they used to leave drivers check stubbs laying on the desk..never seen one under $950 take home..

Thanks. Yes, when I ran out of Munster I would be put up in a hotel if necessary for a layover. Dave H. tells me that now all new hires for the regional positions start out in a sleeper cab and the move to a day cab as seniority progresses. After awhile of course you move up to a day cab local position. I am not sure what Phil has available. Did first road test in day cab, this second one will be in a sleeper. I was going to go today but took my yellow lab to the vet because she hadn't been feeling well. We found out she had cancer and we had to put her down. Really bummed out today. Plan on rescheduling for next week.
    Thanks

Thanks. I start back at Staley on Monday. Run sleepers until I gain seniority back. New guys on the board doing all of the layovers and it saves them on hotel rooms.
