I wear the gloves your talking about, I have done for many years now. I have over 20 years experience driving trucks. I fail to see what the problem is with these gloves? I have my reasons to wear them & no, it's not to look "Cool", I gave up on looking cool too many years ago. I keep snacks like, nuts, pieces of granola bars & things like that to munch on during the day, in a little tin in the cup holder, so its easier to eat them with those types of gloves on. And I wear the gloves because,...
    (1) : With the type of steering wheel I had in the truck, I got a much better grip with the palm of my hand slipping.
    (2) : With the type of steering wheel I had in the truck, my palms were getting slippery & shiny, almost like I was putting skin cream on my hands, but dry.
    (3) : When backing into a dock with the type of truck I had it was better to open the door & lean out & look back to my spot & use the palm of my hand to turn the wheel while doing this.

Why does anybody care enough about these gloves to keep bringing them up all the time in all sorts of posts & threads on here, and other forums? To me they are a tool to use just like work gloves or a hammer or even sunglasses for that matter.
And no I don't have a chain drive wallet. But even these have a reason to be used, but I'll bet allot of people on don't know what that reason is.
Everybody is so concerned about how others are dressed! You should be looking at yourself's more.I don't like sweat pants but if you want to wear them, so what. So many things in trucking to worry about, but fingerless gloves & wallets are such an important subject! :biggrin_2556: :biggrin_25526: Don't like them too bad, get over it! :biggrin_2552:

Oh I probably do something else lots of you don't do.

    I wear clean underwear everyday!

I wear those gloves. My post is above this one. But I won't have a suicide knob thanks. If others want to I think it's dumb/dangerous but it's your choice.

The OP asked a legitimate question out of legitimate curiousity as to whether he should wear his curling gloves or some other type of gloves. The responding posters (myself included) voiced our opinions just like you did. Now, wonderful that you wear them. but if you wear them, your garth brooks headset, pajama bottoms and horndog tee shirt into the truck stop, I'm going to smack you so hard with my little polka dotted purse that your flip flops fly off.

Like I stated" they are a tool" so no, they stay in the truck with my other tools. I have no objection to the OP'ers post. It's all the naysayers about these gloves I speaking too. I thought that was clear? I'm a little old fashioned in some things. I like to have the best laptop I can afford because I use it lots. But none of the things you mentioned. I have a very basic cell phone & don't use most of the extras that came with it. I don't use the phone while driving. Blue & black pants & jeans only, again basic golf type Tee shirt or uniform shirt. Regular slip on leather shoes or steel-toed boots no flip off for me EVER: yuck. And I'm not showing you what I wear to bed *wink:biggrin_25525:*
** thanks for the hug & cookie (haha nobody else got one) :biggrin_2559: But I'm a diabetic so sugar free next time please.:biggrin_25520: **
