I sent you a PM the other day explaining the things you'd need to do and why they need to be done this way.
Yes PDI does offer tunes for the pre emission ISX engines

Just to clarrify...it is not my custom built Lipe that is slipping. That clutch is still sitting on the shelves in my garage like I posted earlier. The clutch in my truck now is the stock Easy Pedal, which when it comes out that a Lipe will be the only brand ever put back in. The Lipe is a far superior product compared to anything on the market, but as Mr. Haney stated they must be seated in first.frankie f Thanks this.

If this is true Redd then thats a game changer as to my decision on which product to go with. Sure dont want to spend all that money just to have the dealer wipe it out.
-
They wont wipe it out. Make sure you tell them when you take it in "DO NOT REFLASH THE ECM!!". I've been to the cat shop a few times and never been a issue. As far as the BD tuner it only holds 1 tune at a time your stock tune or the performance tune. If you dont reflash your stock tune in then you will lose your performance tune if they reflash it.BIGMIKE1 Thanks this. -
The BD has 3 slots for tunes, stock, economy and power/economy. if you choose to have BD do a custom tune they would put it in the slot of your choice.( Pullingtrucker uses the economy slot for his big tune ) IF a dealer flashed your ECM and a tune was lost BD would send you a copy of the lost tune AT NO CHARGE..
-
Have you ever actually done this? I know people who have had a BD tuner for a pickup and either had a dealer flash over the BD tune or have had another issue with the trucks ECM and it's a PITA to get BD to fix the downloader since it's locked to one ECM at a time.Wronac15 Thanks this.

A friend with ISX/DPF had this happen twice. I have had the tuner lock when changing tunes a couple times and either called tech for unlock code or going to BD site and doing an update unlocks the tuner from the ECM then you can load a new tune and install or even load into anther truck. in my case, I have a file for my tune in my laptop.
Sometimes it is a PITA but I would rather deal with this than have to pay for another tune.frankie f Thanks this. -
That's cool that you've been able to do that. However my solution to having my PDI tune overwritten is my truck will never be inside a shop that could reflash my ECM.

I had my truck in the dealer today, while he had it on the computer i had him check what the maximum it could be turned up to without changing out any hard parts. It is currently at 450HP. I thought it was 400, but anyway they said it was maxed out and to go up any more i would have to change turbo and injectors so it looks like even if i sent my ecm off for tuning id also have to invest in these other parts for any benefit. The turbo i dont mind but 6 injectors would get really to expensive for me,so im kinda bummed out about the hole thing.

I have had PP Box in my 1998 Volvo 770 with a 3406E Cat since 2003 with the Fass. I have since added the PP dampner, balancer, the larger turbo w/blanket and the ported exhaust manifold. I use Walker Megaflow Mufflers that are basically straight thru.
You have to drive it responsibly or you WILL TEAR something up. I do like the adjustability of the PP Box with 7 settings that I have learned to make money in this business to leave on level 1.
I pull 48' special made vans from Monroe, NC to Decatur, AL roundtrip 2 to 3 times a week with it fully loaded (79K) going down and coming back grossing out around 60K. My average for May was 8.24 mpg and June was 8.15 mpg.
I am very happy with Pittsburgh Power.
