hmm if only i choose to compete--well as soon as you pull out to pass--- your spot gets taken up and heaven forbid that if you put your right signal on that anybody would let you in---so lots of times you get left out in hammer lane while everybody is playing booby labonte---
its just one of the reasons i like driving at night--seems to get rid of a lot of the ignorant people when the sun goes down

most of the busses have tinted windows--too hard to watch the movie---but i love waving to little kids in the back seat---at times it makes their day just to be acknowledged---the kids i wave to---the others i flip off

I'm in training right now for my new gig. Yesterday, with 120k gross, my "trainor", ran right up on the back of a car. I saw it coming up a 1/4 mile away, and was grabbing brakes on my side of the truck. He's a good guy, but I'd have gone up one side then the other of him, if I'd owned the company!:biggrin_25510:

thats deffinitly true canuck , what i dont like is the blatant " if i sit on your ### i will pressure you to hurry up" tailgaiting. many times i have this happen and i call on cb " might as well pass coz im speed limited to 62mph" then they fly by and evil eye me as they pass!

Well glad to see all the people here who feel this way--was only a week or two ago--when I said tailgating is amateur--(and Im not talking stuck in traffic or getting cut off)--and it wasn't any time at all befor people were jumping down MY throat about how I do not understand etc--and then one very "professional"driver suggested that I was too old and it was time to retire and meanwhile get out of the hammer lane and out of his way--didn't hear a whole lot of people arguing with him then--So it is nice to see that there are still some drivers out her that have some sense

Not to harp on you too much, but maybe you should have stopped and either waited for an officer to show up and give him your input, or gave your information to the car that got hit. Or maybe even get the info on the truck that hit the car and call his company, if by chance he was a company driver. I'm not really much for snitching or being a tattle tale for those of you who wish to comment, but we really dont have room for aholes like that on the road with us. Too bad it's not legal to.......................(insert your road justice here)

i dont like being to close--i just think if it were my family in the car-----so i try and kep a good distance--and really hate it when it gets messed up
unfortuabnetely wether you want it or not , at times you will end up a lot closer to the vehicle in fron of you than what you should be---and the ones who ride somebodys butt, trying to get them to go faster---well ----- i either going as fast as i can go(bnot my choice) or am going as fast as i wish to go(my choice)--so when you are on my butt i will probabely start to slow down hoping you notice--or put a set of wheels really close to the rumble strips--oops sorry bout the rocks--guess you shouldnt be so close---or if none of that works there always is the anti tailgaiting lever on the right side of steering wheel

I love having space in front of me so I can admire the scenery instead of paying attention to the aggressive driver who just entered my safe stopping zone. Or depending on the state I'm in I need the space ahead of me to monitor the road for potholes. (Sigh) But there's a never ending supply jass acks who pass me and stick their 13'6" x 102" doors 20' off my front bumper. I hate having to give driving lessons via CB radio to these lazy, thoughtless fools. An extra 10 seconds in the left lane to give me a bit more of a proper space isn't too much to ask.

    There's your "sign"....literally....:biggrin_2554:

El Paso drivers are on a different clock and mindset....
I been through there from early morning to "Vampire Time".....

It never fails....traffic always slows to a halt....

Main reason....El Paso is the "Land of Mañana"....Nobody there is in any hurry at all....Except you...the truck driver.....

When I passed them, both the truck and 4-wheeler were finally off on the side of the road. No injuries. No deaths. I'd rather not get involved and just let those two handle it.
