So what is Mercer's take on overweight tickets?
Bland, VA just tagged me at 83,240 pounds. The paperwork says the load weighs 47,000 pounds & when I accepted the load, I was told 46,500 pounds.
My empty weight is 31,180. So by calculations, the shipper put 52,240 pounds on my trailer. -
#### good thing you saved that 10 bucks at the cat scale
you really need a suspension gaige
hopefully you can get some recourse from the either the shipper or mercer -
Question...when you saw that the paperwork said one weight, and your were told another weight, why didn't you scale it? Or was the DOT between you and the CAT scale? -
had the same thing happen to me.. I called safety who in turn called the agent and the agent paid for the ticket and the miles to take the extra off that the shipper put on with out telling anyone (my BOL also said a lighter weight) Oh and it does not affect your CSA points.

First CAT scale on the route was 90 miles away.
Flatbed weight generally stays the same. Over the past 11 years, I've only scaled 11 loads. Plus this shipper is generally pretty good with their weight.
The ticket is in Mercer's name, not mine.
