Well, you can now say that you met at least one person who leased trucks to Malone who made money with them.....ME!! I also made money when I leased to Landstar. You can find fault with any carrier. There were things that I didn't care for with both of these carriers, but for the most part, it was a positive experience. I have known and met other owner operators who leased to Malone who are doing well. Neither company will hold your hand and force you to run a profitable company. When you own the truck and lease to a carrier, you are not an employee. You are in business for yourself. It is not the responsibility of Malone, Landstar or any other carrier to make your business profitable. If you didn't make money with Malone then more than likely it was for other reasons. Perhaps it was where you ran or how you ran your business. Did you lease a truck from them? Did you lease one of their trailers? If you didn't actually own a truck and lease it to them then I can better understand why you would have had a problem making money, whether it was Malone or another carrier. You have made a lot of general accusations. I would like for you to tell us how you were cheated by Malone and how they are responsible for you not making money? Rather than just trashing them, perhaps you could post some specifics as to how they cheated you?

Ok , why don't I educate you a little.......Chiricahua..... It is obvious you are having issues if you run from job to job and and not making money , so you blame the company for your failures....

Now lets us talk about actual FACTS.... Mercer has some good freight and lots of CHEAP freight.... CRST MALONE has cheap freight and good freight....... BUT... at CRST MALONE you are not OBLIGATED to use THEIR freight only.... At MERCER you use MERCER load boards only, so if you take a good paying load to an area where there happens to be 10 or more drivers and you are near the bottom of the list you get two options.... SIT or take a CHEAP load.. Now at CRST MALONE you can use ANY load board and reload out with out sitting.. If YOU choose to haul cheap freight it is YOUR fault.

Now Being a contractor with Mercer trust me they have their share of junk ( trucks ) running for them.. Just go to Louisville sometime you will see them..... Also Mercer has fired a bunch of contractors because of their CSA scores.

NO Company is perfect. As an Owner it is YOUR responsibility, Chiricahua..... lmao you were at CRST for a month and failed so you go to Landstar and you are failing.... It sounds like you have to learn how to operate your equipment.... I DO NOT mean to sound rude but C'MON.... You talk down to people on here who say they are making money because you DID NOT...... It is true that some people are not cut out to be an owner operator that has to find their own freight.... Some need the guidance of a dispatcher, there is nothing wrong with that.....

Mercer will rob you blind with their trailer lease purchase, so beware..... I own my own truck and my own trailer and I AM NOT related to or friends with any CRST AGENT..... Since I been here at CRST I haul mainly brokered freight , actually mostly Landstar freight , and I'm making better money then I did at MERCER.....Mercer freight out West is cheap , about $1.41 to $1.55 a mile... NOT GOOD... I just left Nevada for $2.14 a mile. IT IS BETTER being able to use multiple load boards then being stuck on ONE. That is a FACT.. My equipment looks good and in great shape,so do not cut down people who you have no clue to who they are.

Again , Chiricahua... I'm sorry you are having trouble at every Company you lease on to... But it tells US on here that it may be more to it then a bad Company...
    I wish you luck...

Chiricahua............... An average truck uh ??? lmao You put down here you have a 2001 FreightShaka Columbia With Flatbed in tow!..... I'M sorry but isn't Freightliner an average truck , IS IT NOT ???

I've owned a Freightliner, Kenworth and Peterbilt.... I miss my old Kenworth, if you look at my posted pictures on here you will understand why. But seriously, they are all average lol.....

Some do not WANT to or some may not AFFORD a big flashy large car.... That is their decision....Why talk down to them about it ??? A 2001 any model truck is an older truck. But it is your truck, who would we be to knock you down for it ???

compare the CSA scores with Mercer !!! About the same.... Mercer has terminated MANY contractors for their CSA scores.... I think that is with every Company though.... Many bad drivers out there....

Some of those drivers you see in those large cars are running to keep a step ahead of the repo man. Most successful people whom I have known don't flaunt their success. I remember a guy that I knew many years ago who owned a company. He was worth over $60 million dollars at the time. He had a couple of lear jets that he used in his business. If you saw him around town away from work you were more likely to see him in an old Buick. He didn't want people to know that he had money.

Appearances can be deceiving. Just because someone drives a new truck doesn't necessarily mean that they are doing well any more than someone who drives older trucks is broke. They may just have different priorities. I don't own new trucks. Nor do I intend going out and buying new trucks. But I do get good rates when I run. My trucks are well maintained and look decent. I have no need to try to impress anyone. My equipment is paid for so I don't have to worry about anyone coming to repo anything.

No u guys r funny! Here's the truth! CRST Malone is one of the worst Safety rated trucking companies in the business! They don't have any good freight period! Dispite the lies on this thread!
Any driver thinking about wasting thier time and trying CRST should talk to as many CRST drivers in person along the interstate as they can! When I joined Landstar drivers showed me their statements freely, and I only got one CRST driver to offer his freely and it sucked! He told me if I could get on with Landstar to leave CRSt! So after 30 days with them and only netting a few hundred dollars I went with Landstar and made it bIg time!
So anyone thinking about Crst shouldn't listen to me, but interview as many Crst drivers as u can and take your opinion of them! And the next time youre in a scale house and it's slow ask DOT friendly what crst's safety rating is! If u listen to me Crst Malone sucks big time and is one of the worst companies in trucking! Educate your self about them in person not just here online! Don't waste your career there!

Well, from reading your little rant we can all tell you have no clue. Lol. It is obvious that you had trouble finding your own freight and was not able to make it. So you blame the Company. Haha. Kind of pathetic.
I worked for landstar before you even started driving and I know how they over charge you for everything. Oh yes, even OOIDA is suing Landstar. Lol.
Now you say people should believe only you and not the many other drivers on this thread? ?? All you can say is CRST sucks and that's all you say. Lmao. I would be happy to show you my settlements. Everyone of them is over. $1700.00 a week because I know how to be a SUCCESSFUL owner operator.
on this thread you put down AVERAGE trucks when in fact you have a average throw away truck that's 10 years old. You call people you don't know liars! !! So why should anyone on here believe you? ?? Again I'm sorry you can't make it with out someone helping you, but seriously! !!!! Don't blame a Company for your failures. Lmao
As far as the safety rating. You really have no clue to what your talking about. MERCER. Has the same.average as CRST and your Landstar is right up there too. Just look it up at. Www.fmcsa.gov. check your facts before you preach nonsense.
