Well, I'm on board for real. I'm in 656, and I'm just waiting on Tyson in Storm Lake to finish a trailer and I'm out and away.

    See y'all out there.

Man you guys are speaking a foreign language to me with all this Jersey City, Warners & Jessup nonsense! Some how I've been on a tear with RDC loads from all over the place as of late then reloading out of either Toms Brook or Cargil in Mt. Crawford. I pulled out of George's the week before last & in all of their infinate wisdom they released me just as all of the storms were hitting...........thanks shipping! While you guys are sweating your rears off out east I'm staying cool as a cucumber out here. When I woke up in Superior, MT this morning it was 29 degrees, really woke me up on my walk in to take a shower! @Saienga Where did they end up sending you from Storm Lake? You'll learn pretty quick that Tyson is waaaay ahead of the game loading your trailer or they are getting you out with minutes to spare!

welcome to the east coast of things... i will say this much, if load managing dont get better on this side i might have to bit the bullet and say screw hometime and start running midwest weekly!!! these backhauls out of the northeast are becoming worse!! had to spend a 10 hr break at the beer shipper in rochester due to load planning.... i dont complain about much but this lately has made me kinda of chippy!!!

:D Yeah, pretty much exactly. I took the Storm Lake to Ottawa, IL, then had to take 10 in the middle of the day, then deadheaded to Joslin for a Tyson to J&B in St. Michael.

The Storm Lake load was ready about 15 minutes before DDT, and the Joslin load was ready (I think) before I even left Sheldon on Friday.

Because of the busyness of orientation (and the weirdness of just getting back to work at a new job) on Friday and going into the load Friday night, I didn't get but 2 hours of sleep and had to run all night...Then I turned around and slept a little too much going into Sunday, and rolled into St. Michael too close for my own comfort. :biggrin_2554:

Not a good start. It's my habit to get everywhere an hour early, and here I am white knuckling our most important customer on my first weekend. Ack! I'm better than this guys, I promise!

Love the truck, though. Had a little snafu with the 5th wheel (unlocked it instead of dumping the suspension, oops.) And had a little trouble getting it to lock back up...but after a year and a half in a big ol' Pete 387, I'll take the narrow aero conventionals any time.

Deep breath! And release! Fresh start tomorrow morning.

Welcome aboard Mark! Don't sweat it you're doing fine; seems they like to see what you can do on weird schedules under pressure that first week, and I had the same problem then as you with sleep. Speaking of, I better get to bed. Going back out [West, I think] tomorrow. Haven't passed seen Ohio in two weeks!

I would beat my head against the wall if I had to do the Northeast regional business but that's just me. @Hawk if you run out to the Midwest and back it is usually better from what I can tell. Jay has me set up on a load with one pick in Kennewick, WA today & the 1000 in Boise, ID tomorrow. The funny thing is I don't have to be back in Iowa City until 0630 on Friday, not used to having all of this free time to sit around and smell the roses that's for sure!

Enjoying the heat guys, except it takes a toll on the fuel bonus. Don't forget DOT is out for the next three days, btw I have a load for Supervalu in Greenbay tomorrow night @830, never been, is there somewhere to park close?
    Thanks.
