already is it's just hard digging out of a hole.
the last month I was with my old company he was hitting me up for $300 out of every trip for plates plus $725 insurance. with all the trailer repairs I had in january i was flat broke and everything was two months behind when I changed companies.
I had an agree ment with my old boss that he would pay me back for the base plate minus the one month I ran it. He had a truck to put it on. When I called last week wondering where my money was he told me he won't pay me untill the guy paid him in full for the plate. so even though my plate is on a truck running up and down the road he won't pay me for it......

I'm at the rest area at about the 125 or so... an I still south of that ames scale?
-
guess I can stop being lazy and look at the map n see where ames is. lol
-
-
there was no building there just the concrete. they must set up portables or something there. my map shows the south bound one. Just was't sure if they had built a north bound since my map came out in 2000
-
i have new map shows on both sides, only time i come thru there is loaded coming from the north. Last time they had portables set up on north side about a week ago.
-
i usually come out of hope Mn., no scales from iowa line to there i know.
-
Sorry to hear man, I wasn't trying to be tough on ya, I was just saying that I hope you can pull this and make that change for the better.
As for scales, my map (2009) shows 1 set of scales in Iowa just north of Des Moines, and nothing in MN from the state line to the Twin Cities.... you can by-pass the Iowa scales by going up US69. Just get off at the 102 and hop back on at the 111. Though they may be working that road pretty heavily too seeing a lot of people will be trying to by-pass. You got your Pre-Pass turned on didn't you???
I'm hoping mine gets me thru MO/KS tomorrow w/o a problem. I only got 4,900 lbs on and had the Edwaedsville OC change 4 tires on the trailer, but lord only knows what condition the trailer will be in that I get in New Century, KS tomorrow! -
And don't feel bad, I am delivering in Lansing, MI and there is not crap coming out. Everything is in Detroit going east coast and I need to get home this weekend. Looks like I will have a very low gross this week and just bt the 150 miles home wednesday night.
I have placed calls to several tanker outfits near me, and all say they can get me home on weekends and I can make some good $$$$ but as you know, it's tough taking that down time between jobs. I only have $700 in my maintance fund, and this weeks check is going to suck since I'll only be gross $2200 on the week if I do go home early.
IDK WTF happened to their load board. It used to be a million times better than it is now. Last year, there was tons of local freight for me in the Chicago area. I was clearing $600 a day and going home after 10hrs work. Now everything goes to fudging PA and there isn't crap back out over $1.20
