Illegal is illegal. I lived in SoCal in the early 80's. Illegal immigration was a problem then, too. If your guv'mint is so jacked up that nobody has jobs and people have to break international law as a matter of "necessity" then perhaps it's time to rethink your guv'mint. There is no excuse for people knowingly and willfully trespassing onto someone else's property with the intent of theft. That is what illegal immigration is. People sneak across the border, knowing they aren't supposed to be here, use medical services with no intent to pay for it, often women will purposely wait until they are near term in a pregnancy so they can have an "anchor baby" and then collect guv'mint aid...again, with no intent to help pay for it. In many cases, deliberately remain unemployable by refusing to learn the accepted trade language of the country they have made themselves an unwelcome guest in.

If people did that to Mexico, it would be called what it is: an invasion. However. Nobody wants to go live in Mexico and collect benefits that do not exist there. It is not racist. I personally know an Austrailian who overstayed his visa. He was arrested and deported. It just so happens that the bulk of illegal immigration to this country is perpetrated at our southern border by Mexicans, Central and South Americans. Too bad they speak Spanish. If it was an English-speaking country invading, it would still be trespassing with intent.

I suppose it wouldn't be quite as offensive if people sneaking in wouldn't leave so much garbage laying around where they cross. Most US citizens are simply tired of seeing pictures of the mess, the upsurge in tuberculosis, the criminal element that follows.... What you don't seem to understand is that it is not the minority ruining it for everyone. It is the whole that is blatantly breaking US law. And people who are here legally are sick of it.

 

Maybe you're right! Maybe it's time for me to rethink my "guvmint" which is seated in Washington DC. Perhaps it's time to work to get rid of the wackadoodles who listen to the extremists regarding immigration reform and get some people in there that will do the right thing.

This person snuck into our country for whatever his motives were. Let's review some of the classic ones though i.e. safe harbor, better opportunity, drug mule, sex slave mule, or honest (illegal labor). Now this guy didn't expect that we (The US) would be so proficient in our border protection. Not only did this person get what was coming to him it wasn't nearly enough for his illegal counterparts who have defrauded our belief system, smuggled money out of failing economy, had children illegally to gain benefits and caused jobs to be taken from righteous legal abiding citizens. This person got a few war scars from trying to be sneeky and the payment will probably be to reward him in court??? Should've just shot him and kept it moving paperwork would've been easier....

It shows the Mexican guv'mint still does not accept the fact. The US won the war! That territory does not belong to Mexico and hasn't for well over a century. Yet, with words like this, painting illegal immigration as nothing more than casual travel, no wonder there's a problem.

It is an active invasion. Only thing is, they will not go head-to-head, soldier-to-soldier. They know they would lose. So they send the least among them, playing on emotions to get the better of logic. It's working.

 

I've been through Canada's border check points and nobody's gonna be sneeking in or out of anywhere around there to often. We need to address the real issue and that is Mexico as a country is unwilling to do anything about the influx of illegals because they tend to carry the mindset of it not being their problem once an illegal is on US soil. If their druglords are running the country and they have no desire to improve their social/economic standards, why are we scrutinized via the media for trying to keep America free?
