You make an excellent point, but try blowing the Louisiana scales and they'll chase you down. Half the time their signs don't work and it's a $2k fine..

In TX I-20 at the 512 is working hard. Saw a wide load at the hill before the scale broke down. He could see the flashing light from his spot though. but not to worry, there was an officer headed down the shoulder to "assist" him:biggrin_2554:

Concur. It's in Parks, AZ, 2 miles west of the Pilot in Bellemont, 13 miles east of the last Williams exit. Yardstick 180-182. They never fail to open that up during the blitz.

Now, if only they'd open the #### rest area up the rest of the year...!! :biggrin_25510:

I purchased 17 bags of Doritos, 9 boxes of Ding Dongs and a couple two-liters of Coke to display on my dash, just for the occasion. Oh, and my pee jug is hanging by a string off the mirror bracket.

    I should be all set.

I-80 scales outside Lincoln were open both ways when I went by around 2. I got the "ok to bypass" light but could see a good line of trucks and quite a few getting inspected.

Outside Des Moines on 80 was opened and was given a red light. But then the bypass inside. Again, about six trucks in line with a handful in the inspection area.

North of Des Moines on 35 the scale there was locked up.

Hey, it's a tough job but somebody's got to do it! Can't be having parking lots blowing all over the place. Where will all the coffee counter wannabes park their shiny trucks?

Better do something with pee bottle son, besides a string! They'll get you for unsecured something or another! Specially if the string breaks and hits one of them in the head
