Texas.......I haven't even been to ND. Only state in the lower 48 I've
    never set foot in.

I don't think I've missed too much. LOL

I made a lot of runs to ND in 08 09. Thought it was fine. Around Stanley was little dirty. But you had a lot of dead enders there like all oil booms or any booms. Same over here. No one would give some of these losers the time of day back home. Here there are jobs they can do. If they get blown to Hell-no great loss. Was very cold in winter. Not as bad as many on here make out. But extra nice summers are the flip side. Traffic was great. Run 87' long and no worries. People actually back up and realize you could use an extra foot or so. Now SD & ND will cost you some coin if you nail too many pheasants. Holy Moly. Thousands of them. All along the roads. Thicker than dove in TX. Beautiful. But can bust some lights and grilles. Used to get easy back hauls, but they dried up. Guess every state has its good and bad. Just depends on what you like and how much of a people person you are.

Well said, well said. Driving a truck in the oil field isn't "trucking." It's barely "driving a truck." It's also not for everyone. It probably isn't even for me, I'm just too stubborn to have moved on yet, or something like that.

    Where do I sign up?

Seriously though, i'm hopping to make the switch to Crude here pretty soon in West Texas. The above mentioned conditions are fine with me...actually sounds easier than my current job lol I just like the available day time shift and weekends off...the extra 10-25k a year isn't bad either that comes with crude hauling.
