I don't know if anyone is actually "scared". I, personally, just don't feel like dealing with the hassle. It's no different than any other day, to me. They are either going to slow you down or not. My truck and paperwork will pass but I'd just as soon be truckin' down the road than messing around with DOT in some scale.

As it is here in Nuevo Laredo, other than a couple of punks throwing grenades yesterday afternoon. No damage, just big noise makers.

Preparing to head down to Monterrey for the rest of the week. Plan on hanging out at the Mexican "Super Coop" for an hour or so and observe the inspections.

Same here. I haven't worked during Road Check for the 23 years it's been in existence. Trucks fine, paperwork passable. But since my birthday falls in the middle of the thing, I'd rather celebrate in other ways.

And if they won't to find something, they WILL find something to "warn" you about. Ain't worth the hassle.

They are open in Maine Old Town, Sydney, and they were open Northbound yesterday at mile 5 on 95.

Got my nice CVSA sticker from my inspection in Old Town.

    Bull****!

I did a proper pretrip when I hooked my trailer at the yard. Less than 5 minutes later, at our shop, I had a brake light out.

It's just another day across I-40 in Arkansas. Neither West Memphis or Fort Smith appeared to be doing any inspections.

Oklahoma is open for business at the WB 251 rest area on I-40.

Perhaps we should make the distinction between "Border/Drayage" trucks and the OTR Mexican based trucks.....:biggrin_25525:

Scared? No. I dont wanna take part in it now that a point system is in place were cheet like a light can burn out while going down the road and can cost you more in points than a bad brake, a malfunctioning EBOR is 1 point while paper logs are higher in points.

Hey, on the flip side, do you suppose the bears will go on vacation after this blitz?
