I'm guessing it could be some sort of melon, it is peak season for them, I guess they haul patatoes down and melons back up north.
Saw tons of these on i-95, what are the hauling?

REALLY?? SERIOUSLY??
None of Y'all have ever seen chip stock trailers?? There spuds--for tater chips--loaded in bulk--they are all heavy haul trailers--originally built to have reefer units--but the units never put in(no need) double vent front--double vent rear--in colder months they put smudge pots in the trailer--look close--99%--will have PA tractor tags--about 50-50 maine and PA trailer tags--they run exempt only-deadhead out of PA wherever chip stock is being dug and right back to the keystone-no authority--been done this way for years--
Gezz I must really be getting old!! LOL -
I'am with olhand on this, there most likely hauling spuds for tater chips. See alot of them in PA and surrounding states.
-
Oh and BTW--you'll find most of them are only 42-45' trailers--so they do not have to drop to get on the tipper...
-
Are they hauling spuds back from FL? or up north, are they deadheading down to FL?
