I heare ya. for most part i'm just interested in what's up ahead, weather, traffic etc. But more and more I find myself turning it off or at least squelching real high to avoid the nonsense.

Usually someone gives you your handle for a reason whether an incident or a trait but I can tell you, and if you ever watched convoy or listened to it for that matter you know, rubber duck is a kinda famous handle.
btw I have to figure out how to do all these quotes in one post. think I may have used one page myself here. lol
Still home since Tuesday pm waiting for b-service to be done hopefully tonight I'll head out. -
yeah L.B that works! iphones are slick. & sully your very welcome, hope it comes in handy for you and all you fellow drivers.

a long way to say thanks to jatwell for explaining how to multiquote. Thanks again. -
That is where I got my user name on here from except I added a "y" on the end because I did not want to be a copy cat I reckn'.
I got plenty of time to come up with something. I know what my wife calls me but I don't want that as a handle! jk -
How do you do that Sully? Always wondered myself.

Whew! Just logged my best day to date and bet it'll be tough for me to top cause I only had 25k in box and used all my hours but 15 min driving. 880 miles
oh and dispatched on best load to date 1884 mi.
Talked with bear and whitey today both were running hard.
Thought would share a story of caution. Friday about 5 min after leaving shipper I was at an intersection with red light waiting for light to change to make left turn.
parallel to me on the sidewalk on the left of the street im wanting to turn on is a woman in her mid 60's with her grandson between 12+ 14 walking their bicycles waiting to cross the street. She had plenty of time to cross while I was waiting but didn't so when I got green arrow I waited a few seconds to see if she crossed now that the light she was watching was red. She didn't budge so I proceed to make my turn watching them still they don't move as my tractor is straight and tandems starting into turn I ck my mirror making sure no cross traffic moved up. Slam on brakes, that woman had herself and grandchild next to my trailer in the center of the street as if she was waiting for my trailer to pass her by and continue. What she didn't realize is she was in the apex of an articulated vehicle. When I stopped she looked over her right shoulder and saw that though I was doing just a few miles an hour she and her grandson were just 15 ft from death. She turned and they walked back to the curb they came from. Needless to say my heart stopped just as quick as the truck. I only hope that boy passes the lesson on to his grandson and that we as drivers don't take anything for granted and always drive with enough caution to spare for those that have none. -
Is Bill Smith still there in Trenton, Ohio?
