True that the auto industry took some really hard hits.
But with the collapse of our economy and the freeze of lending that followed.
Many that wanted to buy new could not, and lease was even harder. In my area I saw used car lots suddenly spring back to life and start to fill with autos. There were countless postings for exp. auto haulers wanted. still are.
Key word is EXP. I did some of this for a very short time as a second driver for an outfit I was running with. 10 car stinger for only a few runs, so that's not exp. I would love to get the chance to get that exp. as I have yet to speak to a car hauler who wasn't making good money for his efforts. (Not saying there are not drivers making squat.) There is an overwhelming amount of things that can wrong in auto transport. Well exp. transporters though they may make it look easy, use a great deal of gray matter, common sense and care as well as a good deal of physical agility in there work to be successful. No room for the lazy or the aah that's good enough in auto transport.
Overall we are a nation that loves our automobiles regardless of what the economy is doing. New or used they will always be moving. And with Americas dedication to pour money into other countries economy's even as our countries auto industry flounders the imports keep a coming.
Most from country's that at one time or another in history were trying to kill us. Just sayin.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
