They do a cursory background check before you get there to make sure there is nothing obvious but they only spend the money to dig deep after you arrive. There are many no-shows.

 

well im heading to Springfield monday i made sure that all my backround and employment stuff was clear before i left and got it in writing that i was good on that end which suprised me and i know i can pass the physical im 29 and in good shape and the road test should be a breeze so hopefully im good

the duck walk is a joke.... i check the jaws on the hitch EVERY time i hook a trailer on i have never had to duck walk under the trailer

 

You don't actually have to duck walk to pass that part of the physical. Just get down under the height limit and move however is easiest. I just crab walked on all fours. Faster and easier.

 

Hey there's some good news. US Xpress is one of the companies I've applied to that I really hope accept me as a pre-hire. I tried to duck walk after reading this. (I'm bored and easily entertained) Turns out the only way I can do it without bouncing (and hitting the immaginary trailer, theoreticly knocking myself out) is in my platform heels, which are cute but not practical to drive in.

((Shhh, don't tell the other companies I said I have a favorite. hehehe))
