Label me as you may, but be fore warned!!!!Link America is not a good company to work for, as when you go into a terminal they are least likely to help in any matter you have. Never heard of a service failure for being early until working for this company. They started out by holding out 2 weeks pay. Also, promised to pay Detention Pay. Only one problem when you ask about the pay a day or two later your told if your Driver Manager didn't put it on your QC then they could not pay you for it. Also, if you had already started to pickup your next load and had already passed the fuel stop when they put it on the QC, then you had to beg for a new one. The max on fuel was $650 a day. if lucky. If an employee at a customer decided to take there bad day out on you they expect you to allow yourself to be talked to like a dog. They website shows New FL's Cascadias I only had the privilege of seeing 2 and both where in the shop. Stay as far away from this company as possible.

You don't get your fuel stops when you get your load?

Why is getting "only" $650 a day in fuel bad? There is no way you should be using that much fuel in a day unless you are driving team. You haven't described anything I would consider "awful"

Honestly the 62 MPH POS trucks and low pay would turn me off more then anything else you put out here!! Dm talking down or yelling at Driver's?? Really... my G_d who would have ever imagined!!!! In 20 years that still bothers you?? I turn them off after...here's yout load info... anything else is just background noise!!!

62mph x 11 hrs =682 miles max per day (I know you could technically do more but....) at about 6 MPG ave is 120 gallons max fuel needed, so even at $4 a gallon you should have plenty to idle for a few hrs too!

They have bought up some small companies that were decent at one time but between cutting pay and speed/power they have gone way down in my opinion... I had called them 4+ years ago and they ran 75mph, paid .36 to start with some bennies but they had an ad onCraiglist I think with no company and I called for fun to see who it was... 62mph, .32 and less bennie's...

The problem with the card was not the daily amount, it was that it would not always work. the scary part about that is I was out here when Arrow went under and had a few friends that worked for them. the first problem they noticed was problems with the Comdata card. sorry about not making that part clear.

My last dispatcher was cynical and sarcastic. Not to me but towards the company. I loved it whenever I had to call him about something or if I needed to be briefed about a load. As a parting gift on my last day he dug through a box of broken Link mugs and gave me one that was still intact.

I wonder what ever happened to him...

    LAYOVER PROVISION
When, due to no fault of the carrier, driver and vehicle are required to layover to wait for loading or unloading of a shipment, a
charge of $75.00 per hour (with a minimum of $600) plus motel costs will be charged to the party responsible for the layover. This should really make you feel good about Link America. They get paid to put you in a motel if you are detained. but instead pay you nothing and make you sleep in the truck.
