I' guess you will be my guinea pig on the BP thing. 'I am 42 and on BP meds. Look at my pics and you will see I' am not overweight. I' inherited it from my mom and dad. They both have it.

'I can pass a DOT physical but they only let my card be good for a year because 'I take meds for it. 'I would think as long as you have it under control you should be fine.

Just some personal info here. 'I have never weighed over 185 unless was lifting weights. Since 'I got hurt 'I have not been able to work out so I' decided to try and drop some weight instead of laying around and getting fat while recovering. Long story short, just went back to the doc last week and weighed 176. Did my BP drop because of that? Nope. Some things you just can't help.

And yes 'I eat healthy. No Micky D's for me. Yuck!

Thanks RD, Good to know, but sucks that I have to go every year for a physical.

Not really sure how the BP thing works. As long as you can pass the physical then it shouldnt matter. You might get a 1 year card instead of a two year card. I am 48 so not a spring "anything" for that matter either. As long as you can climb in/out of the trailer to secure your loads then you should be ok. Trust me - we have some that I am not so sure they can do that.

I would call - Ask for Alice and tell her David (the one that bought her flowers for getting my app approved) told you to call her. She'll tell you what you might need or direct you to someone that can. I would think that would be ok but you never know. They are really picky these days - but a stable work history means a lot! I know that for sure!

Good luck and keep us posted!

I hear ya. Gotta get the junk jingled twice as much as the other guys!

Like Baritone said, best thing to do is call. I plan on disclosing that before I ever feel out an application. I don't want any surprises.

I've been stuck at home rehabing from several weeks of radiation for thyroid cancer and over the last two days I read every entry on this thread. GREAT STUFF. Thanks to Baritone, Sully, Bear and all who brought up very interesting topics, experiences, and adventures. I will be applying with Millis in a couple months and I hope I can get on. I already have my CDL and just under six months solo but have been off the road for almost two years so even if I have to retrain, I don't care. Millis sounds like my ideal company. Thanks guys. Taking time to share, and even moreso, taking time to answer questions REALLY helps us on the outside looking in.

We are happy to answer anything you may have. I know we spoke via text today and I'm on vacation this week - but ask away and one of us will gladly answer.
