    BMI - body mass index is only one of several items used by a DOT medical examiner to decide if a driver is at high risk for sleep apnea.

    If you are found to be at high risk for sleep apnea you then can and will be required to be tested for sleep apnea before getting a DOT medical card..

    I wish folks would actually read the material FMCSA puts out on this topic instead of truckstop rumors........

    I want to see where it says in FMCSA standards that they have to check BMI percentages.
