We are all judged by our actions and words. Diesel Dave drew a conclusion based on what you have repeatedly told us.

Notice many of us have not harped about doing it our way. Look at my posts, they go from one extreme to another. How this is handled depends on the situation. Do we have a right to do this, yes. Does that make it right in every situation, no.

Any driver on the road who does not practice courtesy and respect for others is ........fill in the blank with your choice.

I know exactly who you are and I stand on the facts I stated. Go back to the thread "PASSING ON THE RIGHT" page 5 and on. All hell broke lose between you and I regarding driving the middle lane, I don't forget. So go back and refresh your STEERING WHEEL HOLDER" mind.

Its a nightmar, i swear some of these drivers think they will fall of the world if they move over. I've seen em stacked 20 deep running the middle lane at 50mph. 99% of the time i just stay in the right lane on 95 and have less hassle.

Thats a fun road. No one moves to the right. Ive gone faster in the right lane at times than running the middle. However, in the dead of night with very little traffic, middle lane, moving right to let another big truck pass, then back over to the middle.

If that was all hell breaking loose between us then you haven't seen much hell......and I sincerely doubt that. I hadn't read the last half of that thread. It appears you are one of the civilized drivers. Not one of the aggressive lane changing, tailgating idiots.

This was the best post in that thread in my opinion. From a 30 year vet at that.

If your running with them, the four wheelers a fairly considerate even in LA. If your a rolling road block then not so much.

Like I said before, in my opinion I could give a #### what the speed limit is. 55 is fine with me in the cities if that's what everybody ran and was enforced. The split speed limit is dangerous. It's dangerous out in the counrty side in cali with the 70mph/55mph split. It's twice as dangerous in the cities.

Here is an example, your running 55mph on a 3 lane in LA, running the right lane minding your own business. Come under and overpass and the on ramp is pouring cars on the right lane, you switch lanes to let them on. Now the cars in the middle lane are running 65mph and the four wheelers are too impatient to mereley slow down. They start going left and passing you. Now the cars that were on the on ramp are speeding up your right side and the cars you just cut off are speeding up your left side. Once they clear you they start switching lanes and you'll see lots of close calls right in front of your truck. You think this is dangerous to be in the middle lane so you move back right and start the cycle all over again.

Now I'm running 65 mph in the middle lane and come under the overpass as the cars come pouring on the freeway. I stay where I am and just cruise right through. If I need to switch lanes for some reason I'm running their speed already my truck switching lanes doesn't trigger 15 other lane changes in all directions.

This doesn't have anything to do with making time or hauling ###. I don't mind you putting along in the right lane, or the middle as far as that goes, I can pass in the left if needed.

If there is no need for you to be in the middle lane then stay out of it, it's just common sense and courtesy, but then again neither is very common nowadays..

If your on the right lane and cars are merging from the onramp, why would you switch to the passing lane and cut someone else off ?:biggrin_25516: That's why you have brakes or/and let off the throttle a little until the cars merging into your lane clear you. This way your NOT switching back and forth like a STEERING WHEEL HOLDER. :biggrin_25526:
