Water temp buzzer/light going off on cool engine

    The water temp light and buzzer is going off on my 2003 fld 120 erratically. It does it off and on all day long but its never like its on full strength, just a weak light and almost inaudible buzzer. The water temp is never even close to high when it happens. Any ideas?

    What engine is it??? I had the same issue and it was the sending unit on the thermostat housing.... I have a e-model cat, theres two on mine, one for the buzzer and the other for the gauge...good luck

    lose battery connections anywhere can cause this.

    Sorry its a 6ts 550 cat. I guess I should have thrown that into the question.
