Rumour has it that they will be shut down shortly. Minnesota DOT has been hammering on them the last 2 months.

Good to hear. Not to mention that three contractors besides myself filed complaints with the FMCSA.

They have been trying to get away with screwing everybody...including their company drivers. Here are two articles from the end of last year.

    http://www.startribune.com/local/west/105110104.html

It is nice to note that the Owner...Chad master blamed it all on his business manager. Funny thing is...Keven was the only reason drivers made money here. It is the Owners, Chad and Mark Master who are looking for every chance they can to screw their drivers, contractors, and customers.

Continue to follow the NEWS, because this is going to get ugly. I am hoping to see them out of business in the near future.:biggrin_255:

    Go to : http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/Search.aspx

pt in carrier name...or what it starts with. ie. JB would bring up JB HUNT, JBS, etc...

Then click on the one you think it is and it will bring up their CSA page.

Thanks for the info. Master express is done (or will be) hauling the waste. A company called MBI has taken over the contracts and drivers will be receiving proper pay. I was with the company that had the contracts before Masters low bauled everybody. I need to get back to local work so I may be giving MBI a call.

one more question for CSA reports for companies, The higher the number must mean they score worse and for the driver fatigue section is that more or less for cheated logs?

    Thank you

Essentially, yes. The number reflects where the company falls on when compared to other companies in its peer group.

So a 90% rating for fatigue means the company has worse scores than 90% of its peer group companies.

And yes, driver fatigue is mostly logging.

They will screw you, They did lose to MBI, sounds like they closed down, Some of their mechanics called me for a job. And sounds as if they closed their whole shop up. From January to march my company contracted to them, Every week they were saying they needed to change rates, would screw with taxes for us and for their drivers, If drivers worked a saturday you got paid under your "expenses" so they wouldnt have to pay income tax on all your overtime as their locals are paid per hours. They will try to short your check, then when you catch it they ask for some time and then will say oh we found your miles, but the origional miles were already on your first check. If your a contracter they start by paying per week then its 2 weeks then soon enough they will start to claim a 30 day billing period. Stay away at all cost

    ***Master Transfer***
You all looking for work? I got a call from TwinCitys temp. agency last week for a couple of drivers to bobtail over and pick up trailers and bring them over to the customer. Drop and hook no touch. They also got new tractors now and everthing is better. Dont rely on that CSA number that is in the past....

You say Master is all better and the bad CSA is in the past??? Please. I was just there two weeks ago when they agreed to settle the lawsuit I was filing against them....and I can tell you, nothing has changed.

The people that made Master a decent company are gone. There is no one you can trust that works there. Does Master actually think people think buying a truck here and there is going to change the shady business practices? What about there fleet of inadequate and unsafe trailers? or a dispatch staff that has NO CLUE what HOS RULES are? Or the fact that the MN DOT sits out front of there yard 3 or 4 times a week?

There is more to the bad side of Master than just their equipment. Their CSA score confirms it. Also Chuck, the FEDERAL FMCSA/DOT Investigator would beg to differ. Please tell us what the Federal Govt. said when they came to pay Master a visit??? Or didnt you work there then? I would not be happier when the OUT OF SERVICE order comes and that day Master Transfer ceases to exist. The roads, drivers, and their customers will be all in a better place.

Not gonna happen.... Master is on their way out of business....and anyway I can help that along, the sooner other drivers and the public are spared from their lack of concern for safety or the integrity of running a business honestly without ripping off their drivers, contractors, or customers.
