Two big reasons I would not work there are when Curry Ice and Coal went out of business we all went to their orientation and what a joke.

1) your vacation is 1% of your gross of pay for the past year. So you have to make $50,000 to only get $500 for your weeks vacation.

2) I would rather not discuss on these boards but lets just say they make very poor decisions when hiring office staff.

I think he is worrying too much about the ability of the office staff at that place figuring how to get on a site like this.

I made the mistake of working there.

They lack alot of common sense at that place.

Had one office worker argue with me that it was not slick out. Just about laughed my head off when she fell on the ground during her smoke time.

Said to her, good thing it was not slick out here.

 

Some companies just don't deserve to have quality drivers

 

ive worked for mcloed for 2 yrs now only needed to use the guarantee once its not to tough to be available m-f deliver on time basically do your job.. then u would get it,,, i agree they are not the easiest to work for, but i am makin good money and have good home time by far i havee worked for worse companies.. such as west side transport...

 

Icemans is either a butt kisser, a rookie, or someone from the office because no driver with experience, self respect, and a hard work ethic would work for this company and take it from behind like they give it to u. With all the little pidly local chicago work and horrible customers who make u wait for hours on end u cant make a good living here. Bottom line nothing in life is free and mark mcleod isnt gonna give u double the milesu actually worked unless he was gonna be able to screw u some how. U have to run 2000 miles a week to make enougj to cover ur gautantee but so many weeks i barely broke 1000 miles. In the end with there lousy medical, them constantly trying to screw me outa my gaurantee, breakdowns from there lousy equipment i was bringing home about 425- 450 a week. Based on the number of hours i worked per week i could have made this working at taco bell. Oh and jason, the dispatch supervisor is such a liar he makes the average lawyer look sincere, not to mention he has no idea how to do his job. I used to jist sit back and just watch him bury himself in his own stupidity lol. Well if u have experience and a clean record definately avoid this place and if u have no experience or a bad driving record jist go work at mcdonalds. U will make more money, be home more and be treated as more of a human being at mcdonalds than mcjokes, oops meant mcleods.
