I'm on intermodal Mira Loma, Southern Cal. home nightly and off weekends.
they pay us very well. been with them 2 years (i did my time otr, way to many years) usually when I'm at the fuel island at the yard, and see a lease driver i ask them "how you doing on that lease?" i find that the ones that work hard, stay out for a month at a time and run it as a business do well. the ones that don't do well, up most of the night playing video games, 10 hour break turns into a 16+ hour break, late for pickup/delivery, want to go home every week, taking advances, ect.
england has many 1,2 + million mile lease drivers that now own the truck outright

The recruiters lie. They get money just for getting you to the school. If one thing goes wrong they will kick you out with no way to get home! CR England are liars and cheats..see my post for a taste of what you will get.
