I've tethered my phone for over 2 years and Verizon's never said anything about it. I just traded up to a Droid X2 and it has wireless tethering built right in so I don't even need pdanet anymore. Which is nice with all the stupid popups they added to try to make you buy it. I do very large data downloads with it too. Like huge. Torrents, movies, whatever I want. I have an aircard with the 5gb limit that they will charge a bit if I go over on and I'm grandfathered in with unlimited data on the phone. I wouldn't download like 100gb a month (no need to really with an 18Mb line at home) but they won't bother you about 5-10gb. Especially with the 4G infrastructure coming online.

Your android don't have wifi/usb tether on it natively? Cause thats been on Android natively since Froya unless Verizon has it disabled or something. I am on Tmobile, and use their 4g to play wow. Most of the time it works great. I do pay an extra fee but it was only like 12 dollars and it made things easier >.>
Oh and if you read the fine print 'unlimited' is 'unlimited but after 5 gigs we slow your butt down to a crawl' -
The receivers are very nice and charge fast. When I first got mine I quick charged it for 10 minutes just to try i out after 10 minutes of charge I had about 2 and a half hours of run time. Just Google it and I will get more info up in a while.
-
Fine print also says no tethering allowed (Verizon). Or did, last time I read it. The fine print is out of date. I've never been slowed down and would call to complain about it if they did. My old phone didn't have tethering on it but it was a piece of junk Devour.

I have the 4G mifi hotspot from Verizon, 5GB per month and its 50 bucks. I also have a 19 inch laptop and yeah its really too cumbersome for the road.
-
the wireless tethering costs $20/month with a 2GB limit on my droid x.
If they shut me off I'll just pony up the money, but until then I'm not going to pay extra for something I feel should be included in my service. But historically phone companies have always price gouged for their service way back to the early days of at&t -
gravdigr that's because they know they basically have the market cornered on it all.

I have a 15" that rides up front plugged into the stereo for music and a 19" that stays in the sleeper. I use the big one for entertainment on off time and leave it off during the day. Saves me from having to move anything around.
-
Probably doesn't help I'm in a coffin sleeper. lol.
-
Heh, yeah. I had it in my flat top too. I've got a full height sleeper for the first time and I can't even use all the space in there. Now I'm moving into a truck with an even bigger sleeper. I used to have a guitar and an amp stuffed in the mid roof I had at Arrow but I still haven't learned to play the #### thing.
