It's good training, I won't say its for "everyone," but its hard to find a better hands-on training program. If you make it through and get to the point of being rated as an "A-seat," stay on for one year after that, the tuition will be 100% forgiven.

It works for some folks - you'll find others who have a different opinion here as well. I have no experience with the job market in MO, especially in the southwest MO area, but I'd definitely want to make sure I could get something lined up before committing to a move.

Yup! We are definitely an OTR company... maybe they should change the definition to ON The Road! If one's idea of how this should work is home every weekend or something like that, they'd be better off looking elsewhere for employment.

I wouldn't think so. Just shows you're motivated!

I think as long as you can prove it. When Hubby went in they almost wouldn't let him cause of the lapse but he worked for a temp agency (about a week) and that started the clock over again.

what will i need proof of ? my fulltime steady job or the numerous p/t one's.i don't have percise date's on them, don't have pay stubs.or will Prime just contact my fulltime employer?would ask my recruiter, but haven.t been able to get ahold of her.this has me worried,l'm not a job jumper(3 permenant positions in 15yrs) but several side p/t positions thru some temp. agencys.

I've had 2 permanent positions in the past 13 years but was laid off from my most recent one in March of this year. I've worked part time, off the books, since then. (almost three months). Will they accept that part time work as employment? It is verifiable with a simple phone call. Just wondering.

As long as there is a way to veryify that you're employed it shouldn't be a problem. You may be asked to have someone write a letter attesting to your employment.

Ok, I wasn't sure. It is verifiable, just wouldn't be if they want a w-2 or pay stub.

Call it self-employment, and you haven't been at it long enough to file a return. Another good idea is to see if you can find some short-term minimum wage stuff that will provide you with a paystub. Just for show...
