It is usually cheaper in the long run to replace "it" before it breaks, even if the component seems just fine.

Does anyone know of a compiled list of component replacement averages for heavy on highway trucks?

If none exists, we should try to make one in this thread, such as, how long an alternator lasts, or a truck rear-end, sensors, steering gear, fan clutches, wheel bearings, etc.

Paclease, Ryder, Penske and of the major full maintenance lease outfits have this figured out.
