here's a better idea, why dont they outlaw beer, wine, whine & booze??????
Why is it that we smokers dont have rights, but you high and mighty azzz think you should have better rights?

 

Its not that non-smokers are whiners its that smokers dont care they are harming the people around them for their own self satisfaction. Smoke from what they are smoking can kill people. What about the childern you smoke around?

100% agree!! Most smokers dont care about the harm they can cause others. Ill never understand why smokers think non smokers should be subjected to their nasty habit that they cant control!!! Also don't understand why they think that because they have the right to smoke that also means they have the right to harm others around them with their addictionl!!! SMH!!

 

Yea, why would smokers complain about smokers? I dont complain in bars. I will complain if in a restaurant and the smoker is not in the smoking section. Yea, god forbid I need something to eat but Mr. Peterbilt there must have a cigarette every 10 seconds. Cause smoking does trump eating. Sorry, my bad.

It is also my right to breathe clean air, isnt it. You guys dont get it. You want rights and you want it all one sided. Smoking is not a necessity, employment is.

Its the same as them telling you how to build, where to build, and what features your building must have. Move to a less strict area if you dont like it.

I think he could dump right beside that pile of cig butts because driver was too #### lazy to put in proper place. Or that spot where driver was on layover or reset and could not find an ashtray. I will walk your sorry behind in and buy you a butt can if you are that irresponsible!

This one is fun...WELL, consumption of alcohol does not affect others health around you. Doctors do say that a glass of wine every so often is good for you. Find me the doctor that says the same of cigarettes! Think about it, smokers actually have more rights than drinkers. There are few places one can actually drink.

I hope that said liberal makes you eat that cigarette and his fist. I bet if you blow smoke his way outta spite, and he does raise a question, you will still think that you are somehow right.

I really dont care if anybody smokes. I will save my money and health for other useful things. Its not a matter of smoking or not smoking. Its a matter of being responsible when you do smoke. But as we see, the two dont go hand in hand.

Joeyjunk, you still don't get it. it should not be up to you or any other person to decided if a owner should allow smoking in his establishment or not. It shoudl be up tot he owner and the owner only. It should not be up to the Gov either.

As far as people throwing their butts outside on the ground. I agree. I have an ashtray in the truck and use it. It gets emptied in a trash can when it is safe to do so. Meaning that after it has sat to make sure then there is nothing still hot in it. I have a trash can in the truck for my garbage. I dump it in the garbage then pull the bag out and walk it over to the dumpster. It is one of them smaller cans that grocery bags fit perfectly in. Nothing ever gets thown out of the window of my truck PERIOD.

The smoking ban in resturants has not really made a big difference in my life. I can go along time between smokes so no big deal for me to not have to light up in a resturant.

My wife doesn't smoke and I have kids so I don't smoke in our house or in the car etc. My choice. At home I smoke in my garage and outside.

There are some companies in my area that don't allow smoking in their trucks. Some are by choice and others are for obvious reasons since they haul flamable material such as coal. It is their policy and their choice as it should be and not something mandated by the Gov or other people that do not own the company. I don't work for these companies due to my choice in life. If my company decides that there will be no smoking in the trucks then that is their choice. But then it is not even a thought from the talk with our boss were the dim with driver that whined to me about smoking outside was crying about drivers smoking in the trucks. But then we are assigned a truck for the duration of our employment and no one else has to drive it and you do not have to driver another truck unless yours is in the shop and you would rather work then taking a day off for repairs.

I tell you that I would rather drive a smokers truck then drive a truck were the guy refused to shower etc for days upon days and was a filthy pig and refused to dump his garbage in a can and just left it thrown around the floor of the truck. Or a truck of a driver that had a dog that would piss and crap in the truck when left in there for too long and would shed hair all over the truck. If you don't have time to stop and let your dog crap outside and don't have the time to groom your dog so that it doesn't leave piles of hair all over the truck then you should not have a dog or any pet for that matter.
