Ok I'm confused, you logged 880 miles in 10.75 hrs?
-
Would like to get the ole' "Turtle" to run some miles like that....most I have been able to log in a full 11 hours is 673... But my truck does run at a slower speed right now.

So iv been out for a month and decided it was time to take sometime.... So little over a week ago a sent a request to my dispatcher to begin sometime # 0001 6/15 to 1500 6/18.... Planned a family trip to Panama City Beach, FL. For my sometime..... Everything was good.. verified sometime with dispatcher last Thursday to confirm he had received my request... Which he replied back with a "10-4 Sir...recvd hometime request".... So all was good...then he sent out fleetwide msg. Saying he was going on vacation this entire week.... Well I never let that discourage me...I just run whatever they can get me... I delivered load of glass to the droplot in West Allis, Wi. Yesterday and was trying to get a load to get me back to GA. For my hometime... I'm already running on roll-overs for hours...I hit ready for dispatch and waited 30 mins before recving message saying "no loads available"... There were about 25 loads sitting on droplot waiting to be delivered...and 1 of those loads delivers to Albany, GA. Which would have gotten me home... So I sat there all day because they kept saying no.loads available..then this morning I woke up and waited for dispatches to het into the office and I asked them what number I was on waiting list.... They sent me a load to pickup off the droplot in W. Allis Nd deliver in Janesville, WI. To Cummins.. and they told me they Already had a plan that gets me home... Once empty I hit ready and received a load to pickup in Hartford, Wi. And delivers to The Rock, GA # 0730 on 6/15 and then a second drop that delivers to Evans, GA at 1400 on 6/15.... Asked if I was dropping load in Cartersville # terminal and recvd msg stating the 2 cities I'm delivering to and appt times.... So much for being home at the time a requested... Looks like ill get home a day late and miss a day in Fla. That iv already paid for.... Well enough venting from me.... Hope everyone has safe travels and decent weather wherever your heading!!!

Man that SUX! I had it happen too me when my son was leaving for Germany. It's not a common thing - try to get those loads off early if you can. If I am not mistaken - the Rock GA location is 24/7. So might be able to get it off early. Just saying..........
Good Luck with it and let me know how it goes! -
Thanks man... Yes I remember you telling me about them not getting you.a load to GA before your son left for Germany..... I know these things happen but it seems it is never good timing when it happens.... Well to top it off I was stuck at the dock for 7 hours because quadgraphics was waiting for 1 skid to arrive here in Hartford, Wi. From Sussex, Wi.... So I'm just going to leave out tonight when 10 hr brk is up... Look to arrive in The Rock, GA around 0200-0300 if nothing holds me up.... Hopefully they can get me unloaded so I can roll on towards Augusta, GA. Then roll back west to opposite side of state to the house.... We'll see how it goes!!! Have a safe trip everyone!!!

Hey whitey next time you are going to take home time and have to be home for something important it might be better to turn into to be home a day early. Thats what i do in case they do mess up and get me home late i have extra day planned in there already. If they get you home on time you get a extra day off which is never a bad thing.

Well I didn't want to put Tuesday thru Saturday down in fear they may deny my request and say I'm asking for too many days so I figured is put Wednesday thru Saturday thinking they'd get me home Tuesday sometime which is usually the case but guess it is because I actually tried to plan something... Family is going to head on down tomorrow as planned...ill have to drive my gas guzzeling 4X4 all the way down there and meet up with them whenever I make it.... I'll just lose a day on the beach.... But I'm going to stay home the entire weekend and visit with my ole' man on Sunday for Fathers Day.... Then leave back out Monday morning.... And if they have anything against that then ill deal with it when time comes

As I just learned myself, click the button next to" quote" it's" multiquote" then quote button on last one.
Ha! No, I don't have rockets on my trailer! Lol! Remember there's 24hrs in a day, that means you have 14 to drive/work with a ten hour break. I spent 15min on fuel and inspection and got 13.75 hrs in driving.
Man im sorry to hear that. I hope u enjoy the rest of your family time.
Great advice! -
