I know that this is a dead horse, but when they give you an appt. and your early, you should be at the dock on time? Today(Sunday) arrived at Food Lion in Disputanta, Va. 45 mins. early, well 3 hours later I finally get to the dock(still waiting) to be unloaded! I know, good help is hard to find.
    Be safe.

hmmmm.... interesting as they want you there an hour early so you dont have to risk being late... my one and only trip there i was in at 8, in a door by 9 and out by 1130..... check and see if you can get some detention if you was there more than 5 hours

Detention, yes I get it, I'll inquire, btw, finally got unloaded and out of there at 230pm. The funny thing is there was another VW driver with another Windom load, we got there at the same time and they put him at the the dock and me on the pad, he left at 1030 and I went in his door. When I went in to check on the status the Food Lion employee went to lunch! WTF.
    Be safe.

Yes, that was me. Did we say hello in passing? Or was it a silent see-me-from-across-the-way kind of thing?

Honestly, Saturday is a blur. I got up at 5am on Friday to get to the receiver and between then and 1pm Saturday I got about 2.5 hours of sleep. It was one of those deals. So Saturday at the yard I was pretty much in zombie mode, just getting my inverter put in and the outside temperature sensor replaced, and then off to the hotel for sleeeeeeeep.

Were you up in the lounge?

See, now I'm going ruminate on that.

I met Brian. That I remember.

Yep it was you that I saw up in the lounge, and it looked like you had a rough night before hand. You gotta watch that Brian guy, he'll bring you a trailer with no mudflap and a railroad spike in the tire! BTW that was a joke Brian, if I seemed grumpy this morning I hadn't had my required 4 cups of coffee & 20 oz can of Red Bull so I was running on fumes. I went over to the TA in Morris & luckily for me it was all "mega carriers" in front of me that were waiting for the blessing of their maintenance dept to get their trucks fixed so they slid me right in & was on the road in about an hour. Just enough time to get some good R Place chow in my gut which was nice! FYI, if it is the weekend or over night and you need something fixed just take care of it then turn it in for reimbursement. Dealing with FleetNet is a slow frustrating process! Anymore if it's under $175, I just put it on my credit card then turn in the bill. I've sat at the TA in Lodi, OH for 2 hours waiting for those yahoo's to call them to get the ball rolling for a simple airline replacement, not fun.

Lol sorry again about that Rob! F***in VW drivers... Well like i told you every 4th Central trailer i picked up was like that so that being the first I've been blessed with I think we're doing alright. That washout worked out for me BTW. They open at 7 every day. Mark beat me to your room, but I drove the truck over intending to sleep in it anyway. Sorry to interrupt your much needed rest for my much needed shower! Good to meet you though. No offense to any of you but until I'm told otherwise I'll sleep at the hotel in my truck unless it's too hot, and just go in for a shower and bfast. I've had too many unrestful nights sharing a room with someone I don't know from Adam with the heat turned up to 80!

if you got the funds brain you can pay for a room at a discounted rate.. thats what i do every single time, theres been time where they wouldnt mind putting me in a room that a driver had previously and he had already left before they cleaned it so i have lucked up from time to time and havent paid anything but yeah mean sharing rooms with people is not cool!!

    Hawk,

That situation about the room, the last time I was at Sheldon, I went to check in at the hotel and a driver had just left, that worked out great. I agree about room sharing, the last time I did that was way back when I was in the USMC.

    Be safe guys.
